Luncheon Prep

11.29.08
A lot of preparation went into Tian's Blessing Luncheon. My dad and Amy helped me shop the night before! (Thank you Dad for everything!)
I had so much help in the kitchen, I couldn't have done it without everyone's help! Thank you all so much!

Thank you Grandma GiGi and Dad for helping with the truffles and the breads!

Amy is so artistic; she customized each truffle! They looked amazing!

Thank you mom for getting Trey ready for bed. Trey loves bedtime stories from you!

Boise Holiday Parade

11.29.08
We are a family who loves Parades, although, we have never attended one as a family. Boise has a parade each year, and I thought it would be nice to attend. As we were driving to the parade, it began to rain, but thankfully it stopped just for us.

Grandma Bend and Trey waiting for the parade!

Our sweet Tian hiding from the weather!

Tian all snuggled up

Poor Amy. She hates, and do I dare say *fears* mascots. There were plenty of people dressed in costumes and Amy was hiding for most of the Parade. Good thing she could just hide behind her coats hood, it was a perfect cover-up!

G.Pa, who I don't think was too impressed with our little Boise Parade, still grinned from ear to ear!

*good story*
I saw Buster, the Boise State Bronco coming down the street. I told my parents I wanted a picture with him for Trey, who had already started walking to the car with Justin. My dad, being quite brave, yelled to the Bronco and asked him to come over to us. Because Busters head is SOOOOOOO big, and I am sure he has NO visability, as he was running in our direction, he didn't see a little clown riding a tricyle. He tripped over the clown, knocking the clown off her tryke. He was kind enough to help the clown off the ground and came and posed for a picture! Talk about being a rude cousin, during all of this, I had completely forgotten about Amy who hates mascots. Sorry Amy

So, the parade was nothing to write home about, but it was nice to get out and see some of Boise's *finest* clubs (I think there is a club for EVERY car known to man), bike riders (both bicyles and hogs!), and beauty queens (and boy does Boise have a TON of them. When you count the teen queens, the rodeo queens, the Miss and Mrs. Idaho counties, we have more beauty queens then not!)!

After the parade, we went home to warm up and play some games.

Thanks Taylor!

Thanks Taylor for spending Thanksgiving with us! We love you!

Taylor and cousin Amy haven't seen eachother for 7+ years! It was a nice reunion!

Tian is LOVED!

Tian is loved! Tian is such a cuddly guy; how could you not pass up the opportunity to suggle with this cute fella!

1/2 price Tuesdays

12.16.08
Grandpa Larry was so generous. He took all of the grandkids (with parents in tow) to McDonald's for their 1/2 price Happy Meal Tuesdays. This is what craziness looks like:

Trey and Tacy, two crazy cousins in the "play area" in McDonalds. Nasty face(Trey), nasty toys but yummy food.

Behind us was a LARGE family, and the word LARGE does not necessarily describe the amount of people in their family. Their LARGE dad was distrubing the many happy meals when all of the sudden he yelled, "JOHN, get your hands off my fries. Get your own." I just about died! NASTY! The man wouldn't even share with his starving son!

3 months

And the funniest picture of them all...

***Hilarious! :)***

2nd Attempt at a Gingerbread House

12.15.08
Just like the housing market, our first Ginger Bread house fell to pieces. With Justin's parents help, we attempted another and it turned out beautifully! (I wish you could have seen it, but unfortunately, Trey and I ate most of it!)

Pirate Pete

12.15.08
Grandma and Grandpa let Trey open his Christmas gift early! It was a cute, CUTE pirate, that Trey named Pete, after one of his favorite books about a Pirate named Pete! Trey let Tian play with Pete, he is so kind to his little brother!

Thanks Grandma Marie and Grandpa Larry for Pete; Trey is in heaven with his cute Pirate! (So up his alley and so thoughtful!)

Winter Garden Aglow

12.15.08
The Botanical Gardens in Boise start decorating in September for their beautiful Winter Garden Aglow. We have always been impressed and this year did not disappoint. Trey enjoyed running from garden to garden with his cousins; I think the highlights were the hot chocolate and fire pits!
This was Tian's 1st experience in the snow and riding face out in the Baby Bjorn. He hates the cold and wind but loves being able to see everything from a forward facng perspective!
