Dear Victoria,

Love the haircut. It's just perfect. Will post pictures when I have some.

Thanks,

Paige

P.S. You were right, the tat down the neck really completes the look.

Ride 'em cowboy!!

Christmas came early for us this year. Since we are spending our holidays with Brent's family, we did presents for the kids with my parents. This is what Tyson got from my parents. I'm not sure he could love it more!!

Dear Victoria,

I've admired your hair for some time now, and so this Monday, I'm taking your advice and copying your haircut. I'm very excited.

Thanks for the idea.

Love,
Paige

P.S. Please stop wearing my pants. You keep stretching them out.

Time to make the donuts

For playgroup this week, we checked out the local Krispy Kreme donuts. We got to watch them get cooked, and frosted and flipped. The kids were then treated to a donut (in Tyson's case, 2 donuts). It was a great time. By the end of it, the kids were running up the walls they were on such a sugar high, so we took them to the local park and let them run wild!!

Making me proud!

So, a few things have happened lately that have made me happy.

First, I know it's way past the time that Avery should be out of her infant seat. They are so convenient and she can lay in her carseat while we shop and feed herself, but she's about 5 inches too long and about 4 pounds to heavy for the seat. So, this was her first time in the cart without the carseat. She was loving every minute of it.

Second, when I get in the car and I was looking for my sunglasses and I turn around and find this. I ask Tyson what I was going to wear and he told me to wear dad's glasses.

Third, when Tyson got to go on the horse. We made a deal before going to the store that if he was really good, he would get to ride the horse. He kept up his end of the bargain, and so did I. It's not every day that Tyson is actually well behaved at the store.

And fourth, when Tyson came home from nursery with this coin. I have seen Tyson in nursery, and have heard stories about how he acts in there, so I was very proud of him when he got this. All the kids probably got them that day, but I was happy that Tyson got one too!!

I love my kids. They bring a smile to my face everyday.

Mmmm, good.

After a week of having Roseola, our happy Avery is back....and so is her appetite. She loves her mixed vegetables and blueberries for dinner.

And this is how we found Tyson when we were wondering what happened to the rest of the cookies!

Just do it

My sister's friend, John, is starting something in December that I'm going to do as well. It's "Make Somone's Day December". Everyday in December, I'm going to try and make someone's day - whether it's with a smile, a good deed, letting someone cut me off without yelling, or something I can see they need.

So, how could I make your day?

Avery is getting some teeth.

I have one unhappy baby around here. Hopefully the teeth make an appearance very soon!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend filled with great food, great friends, and great activities. My dad, sister and I ran the annual Turkey Trot downtown (this was my first year every to run any Turkey Trot). We had a great Thanksgiving day with fantastic food and company - and of course, bingo with thousands of fabulous prizes! We also hit the Imax, and got bundled up to pick out the Christmas tree. It was a great weekend.

I'm Thankful

This Thanksgiving season, I'm very thankful for family. Brent is such a great father to our kids he's constantly playing with Tyson and Avery and taking care of them. He's such a great strength and support to me. I'm grateful for Tyson, and while he's wild as wild can be, he's so much fun and makes life interesting every single day. I'm grateful for Avery who is constantly smiling and makes me smile and laugh daily. I'm grateful for loving parents, siblings, neices, nephews, and in-laws who constantly love and support me and all I do.
And I do have to say, I'm grateful for blogs that keep me connected to my family, immediate and extended, as well as fabulous friends I have met over the years.

A trip to the firestation

For our weekly playgroup this week, we took a trip to the firestation and had a great time. The firemen are used to having groups with kids a little bit older, but they were so nice and took us on a tour, let them get in the firetruck, and spray some water. Tyson had a great time and will be talking about this for a while!!

And even though Avery was there and didn't get any pictures taken, I decided to throw one in of her. A lady at the store the other day asked Tyson if he liked having a little brother. I guess until Avery gets some hair on the top of her head, it's bow city for us.

The Zilker Zephyr and the Zoo

This past week my sister and nephew have been in town visiting, so we decided to hit some of the fun things they have for kids - and we sure did have a great time. Tyson loved the zoo and seeing all the animals. For a small zoo, it has some pretty fun things to see, and you can't be the fun train at Zilker park. We were the fun hogs while she was here - hoggin' all the fun!

You've got to be kidding me!

So, I just posted about Avery starting to crawl, then I posted about her pulling up to her knees. This is what I saw yesterday! I would like to say this was just a one time thing, but once she realized she could do it, she didn't want to stop! And, since I was taking pictures of the event, Tyson kept telling me that he was standing up to so I would take a picture of him!!
