Christmas and New year's

I have broken down the last 9 months (Yes.I.Am.Horrible.) into 10 short posts (including this one). Enjoy! Merry Christmas! We did the family pj's this year! Love it!

He is so stinkin cute! I swear he could be a little elf!

Oh hello Christmas Morning! Uncle Cort spoils the kids once again with some fancy recliners...

...and a drum set!

And, I turned another year older and wiser the day after Christmas...

Spoiled!

Rang in the new year with a wagon ride up at Hardware Ranch, dinner at Golden Corral and a movie as a family. Happy New year's!

My Grandpa Ellis passed away the end of October. It was sad, but it was also a relief. He was in a lot of pain at the end. I am grateful for families and the atonement. I want to share with you some memories of him (some are mine and some belong to others). He LOVED to go camping. It would always bring a smile to our faces to see him raise his cane up into a guitar position and pretend to strum the stings as he sang a song around the campfire. This man LOVED caffeine free Diet Pepsi. I guess that's where I developed my love for the taste of diet pepsi over diet coke. He loved his wife dearly, but they could really get on each other's nerves! "Oh, Verna! Why don't you go fly a kite?!" Hahaha Gene was a man with a sense of humor. He was also an honest, hardworking man all his life. Rest in peace, Grandpa. We love you!

October birthdays!

Good old hubs turning a year older :) (He won't let me write the number).

Lounging on their birthday couch.

Alaska-My adventures

GORGEOUS! It was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful there!

Toured some of historic Anchorage on segways. WHAT A BLAST!!!!Bike ride along the coast. One of a few battle wounds from my gallant bike ride along the coast. The story? We were riding along when suddenly a bear popped out of the woods. Thayne hurled himself off his bike and hid in the brush. I stood there paralyzed...what do you do when you see a bear? I turned and ran. Then I hit the ground as the bear grabbed my foot. So I mustered up all of my strength (thanks, ChaLEAN Extreme) which was apparently a lot because I kicked the bear so hard in the muzzle that he reared back, roaring with pain! And bolted into the woods. I almost forgot my husband was hiding nearby until he popped out, shaking like a scared chiuaua. Hahahaha alright the real story is I popped a willie and crashed. They really ought to tell you those bikes can't handle such stuff...sheesh!
