I am so amazed at Spencer's creativity! He walked into our bedroom on Thanksgiving dressed as a Pilgrim and said that he was ready for turkey.





His creativity inspired Kylie and we ended up with a pair of Pilgrims to be thankful for!

Do You Ever Feel This Way?

Is there some unwritten law that teenagers HAVE to be disobedient? It's gotta be what turns us into soft old grandmas because by the time we have grandkids, there's absolutely no fight left in us and we just get to sit back and enjoy our kids who thought they knew it all figure out that they really didn't have a clue.

The Moonrise

As much as the city of Pocatello is a drag to live in, I have to admit that the views from our back deck are AMAZING. Like this picture of the full moon rising over the Portneuf Gap (don't worry I couldn't pronounce it at first either).

... Fire Hazard! That much flame on one cake gets kind of hot!

I decided that it had probably been a long time since Derek had had a themed Birthday Party, so I struggled and finally came up with a BYU Football Fan Party. I am sure it wasn't as extravagant as a Laurie party but I tried.

This is for my Mom

I promised my mom that I would post a family picture from the 50th. She called a couple of days ago and said that she was still waiting. So, I went ahead and posted what I had, THEN checked the e-mail and Grant had sent the pictures. I am still waiting for the ones we took with Heather's camera. We remembered to bring the camera from Idaho, but somehow couldn't remember it from the house to the picture spot! Hey, at least we remembered all the kids!
