Zoo People

Camden took me to the Zoo for my Birthday Tuesday. We loved it so much, we decided to go back again on Wednesday!! We are zoo people, not pet people. It's not that I hate pet type animals or that they scare me, I just have no desire to be licked by one nor create a relationship with one. I have nothing against pet people either, in fact, I admire them. Not that I want to be like them in that way...I just think it's great that they have the ability to open their hearts to an animal that way. I could go on and on about this and include stories but I frankly don't have the time. I've decided to get an annual zoo pass. I would love to invite you to join me at the zoo where we can watch animals in cages play, sleep and eat all day long and then go home to an odorless and hair free home.

Tropical Fun, Around We Go!

Camden loves his new activity station. It's got all kinds of fun toys and sounds. I don't think he's as interested in the toys as he is being able to stand alone for now. Though soon enough he'll be running in circles around that thing. The best part about this thing is come the toddler years, we can disconnect the rotating chair and he can walk up to it and play. I'm Hoping this was a good investment that many of our kids (to come) can enjoy! We'll see.

He's already learned how to use one of the toys. Push the whale from right to left and the fishies spin in a circle. Go Camden Go, Go Camden Go!

Last night after finally putting this thing together, I popped Camden in it for a go. He smiled and giggled... He looked so big. As I was talking to him, calling him Cam, Camers, Cami, I had one of those mommy moments. He's becoming his own self, already creating his own space in life... a little less my fifth appendage, a little more independent. I could hear his little buddies and cousins calling him by those names and running off with him to play. He's growing up!

WE LOVE GRANDPA HOBBS!!

What a fantastic weekend!! Grandpa Hobbs came to visit for 3 days and we played hard! Friday night we went to the Mesa Temple Easter Pageant and enjoyed picnicking for a few hours waiting for the production to begin. It was so professional and moving! Everything about it from the costumes to the scene changes to the choreography. What a fun night!
Camden really didn't need to ware a sweatshirt. It was a beautiful night out...but he looks so cute!
This morning, Easter Sunday, we went to church in Biltmore (Not too far from our place, but a more convenient hour of 11am). The Easter bunny brought Camden his Sunday tie and shoes...though he didn't ware his shoes to church and he's sported this tie before (Camden's Mommy must have close ties with the Easter Bunny). Oh well.
