A great weekend in St. George

So, it has been five LONG weeks of stress of wondering and it seems like Kevin might actually have a job coming his way in the next week or two. Through a lot of luck and prayer, it is looking like Kevin will get a job doing the quality control or lab testing at the local dog food factory. These past 5 weeks feels like 5 years, I'm sure I have more grey hairs from this. We think we are very lucky, there are so many people out of work and this just kind of fell into Kevin's lap and he is perfect for what they need. Yes, Kevin is in the dog house and we are so grateful for this blessing.

Amidst our struggles we took a weekend off and went to St. George to see my parents. It was supposed to storm all weekend, but we got sunshine and beautiful weather. It really helped us to relax, (except for when the ceiling started leaking) and gave us a fresh outlook.

We got to go for a hike, Cole did great at hiking.

Of course his favorite part was throwing rocks and finding bugs.

And going for a ride on Grandpa's shoulder's! Grandpa just thought he was in charge!
Does that smile explain why he is so spoiled?

Their 4th and favorite child! Cole LOVES Daisy too, when we call Grandma and Grandpa Whitney he also has to talk to Daisy and if she happens to bark while we are on the phone, his whole face lights up, he just knows she is talking to him.

More Pictures...

Remember the bucket obsession, it still continues. I am shocked that me, the germ friek, actually let this happen, but, I grabbed a camera rather than take our trash can off right away. I have no idea why he loves to walk around with things on his head, but he does. Sometimes he will throw his blanket over his head and then walk around like a monster, but he can't see anything which inevitably ends up in him running into something or falling. He loves it!

Oh, Cole is so ready to just be outside. If it is sunny and not below freezing temperatures, we are outside digging in the snow.

His dump truck stopped going so I showed him how to kick the snow off the tires. Kevin was so proud of this new trick!

Cole LOVES to be pulled around the house on a blanket. If you even lay a washcloth flat on the floor he will jump on it and start begging to go for a ride. This particular ride on this blanket proved to be a "hair raising" experience.
