10 Months
Gone are the days of laying a baby in the crib who smiles sweetly IN PLACE for her monthly photos. We have a lot more fun now =) I took some shots in Avery's room this morning to commemorate her 10 month mark, and Eric took some more pictures with his much better camera phone tonight outside after work. We love this baby girl! She has 8 teeth and loves to feed herself whatever we are eating. Finley "sings" herself to sleep, which sounds like a bear. She is quite musical, and loves to dance. She is sleeping better at night, with me only having to get up once to rock her back to sleep. That's progress, folks! She is always happy and loves to watch her crazy siblings run around to entertain her. Henry clobbers her constantly and I'm surprised she isn't bugged by it more often. Usually she just takes it in stride. She loves the swings and is just a lot of cute chunky fun.
We Love Montana
This spring Montana found a way into my heart that was so sad to not still be in Washington State. Winter was cold and stupid. Isn't that poetic? Now spring brought beauty, but most of all, it brought HEAT! A friend introduced us to Council Grove State Park, which has a nice family friendly beach along a slow flowing river. Grandma and Grandpa visited last week to surprise Tavery on their last day of school and brought cousin Lane so we took them to our favorite spot. Have I mentioned how much I love that my mother is a photographer? She gets such clear and cute candid shots of the family. I love these faces so much! Grandpa taught Tate how to throw a rock like a man. He also helped me paint my bathroom. It's a beautiful grey/sagey green and I love it. All the walls here are white and slowly I'm adding color. Actually, I need my parents to return so I can get more painting done or so I can trick dad into doing the majority of the work again. The kids had a great time and can't wait to go back to Kennewick and LaGrande to visit the relatives. Avery also really wanted to have Lane try the local Tepanyaki restaurant and they had fun. Avery caught a piece of brocolli in her mouth thrown by the chef. Here's hoping for many more visits!

Pizza
We have a favorite beach spot. It is amazing. Finley met pizza while there. It was true love! I remember when Avery wore this same swim suit as a baby. The only reason I recall how she looked in it is because we took a picture. There's a testament to the importance of photography. I have always had an awful memory, so pictures are very meaningful to me. In theory, the shirt should cover the belly. The fabric is there! But just like baby Avery, and Winnie-the-Pooh, it rolls on up to reveal an adorable baby belly!
Posers
It's my birthday today. So I made Tavery pose for some pictures. I already got Henley earlier. I usually milk this whole birthday season to get my family to do pictures. I told Eric that one day we'll all be old and so happy to have these records of our adorable children. Also, I am obsessed with coordinating my children's clothing. Grandma shops a lot and we just happen to have coordinating clothes, so it would be wrong NOT to match the family.
