Drei Jahre...

Whenever our friends will ask me how old I am, I would show them my three fingers and then say, "dwei jahwe".... It should be drei Jahre but since I cannot pronounce the R very well, it sounds like a "w". In case you are wondering, drei Jahre means three years. But I am not yet officially three. But I soon will be!

Yes, I am turning three years old soon... in two weeks to be exact and I am very excited! I really love birthday celebrations. Whenever I see a cake, I would always think of birthdays. I hope my Mommy will also get me a nice birthday cake for my birthday, which I will be sharing with my friends at the kindergarten. I can't wait for that day to come because it would mean making my own crown because I am the princess of the Day, eating cake with my friends and of course, opening presents that I will be receiving from my Mommy and Daddy, auntie-lolas and uncle-lolos and friends.

Hmm... I wonder what my Mommy and Daddy will give me as a present.

Will it be a kiddie camera? I really love to take pictures and would ask them to smile in front of an imaginary camera in my hands. Perhaps they will give me a real one this one?

Any gift will do actually. It need not be costly, as long as its cute! Something with Hello Kitty in it will also be great! My small piggy bank is now already full and I also could use another one. This Hello Kitty Spardose will just be perfect! And of course, I could really use your prayers, hugs and kisses too!

Girls and Music Boxes

I guess it is every little girl's dream: to own their very own special music boxes, the ones that last and they will treasure even when they have grown to become adults and pursuing their dreams.

Each time I see musical boxes, even the musical jewelry boxes, my eyes will always light up with wonder and amazement to be hearing such wonderful music each time you open the lid. It amazes me how it works, as if there is somebody inside, a violinist perhaps, playing a song. It makes me wonder how a simple box can transform into something really beautiful once you open the lid.

I am even eyeing some baby music boxes that I saw at the store. One has a ballerina image in it and another one has got butterflies. I could fill it with all things magical and nice: girly accessories, my favorite little toys, and mementos from friends and family. All I need now is someone who would be willing to give me one. My 3rd birthday is coming up in two weeks so I guess to those who don't have a clue, this is it! I am after all, a little girl who would love to receive really nice and beautiful things.

Madie's Birthday

Me and my birthday present for Ate Madie.

I was invited to Ate Madie's Birthday last month. I think I was her youngest visitor. Hehe! She turned seven last and her friends from school were there too. When we arrived at their house, no one was there except for her brother, her Mommy and her Mommy's girlfriends, and us. It was very silent. Auntie Nora said that they were out with her husband to the movies. So we waited.

Just before blowing her birthday cake.

Ate Madie and her friends... She was opening her gifts here.

I was getting a bit bored but Kuya Mark played me. He gave me some papers and coloring pens so I can scribble my time away. An hour after we arrived, Madie and her friends were back. I was so happy to see them! And the party began... We sang a birthday song for her and asked he to make a wish. Then Ate Madie blew her cake and we ate, gave her our presents, and played games.

Writing and doodling on the concrete pathway.

At the garden with Auntie Sofie.

After all the children have eaten, me included, we went out to their garden. I had fun running around in their garden. I even found new friends. It was a very happy day. And I found myself always saying "Happy!"

Thanks for The Greetings!

I really had a blast on my birthday yesterday. All of my girl friends came, including Kate from Ulm City. My Uncle-Lolos, Auntie-Lolas and Aunties and Ates and Kuyas came too, making my celebration really special. Although my real grandparents and aunties and uncles and cousins and godparents were not with me to celebrate my birthday with me, I know they also celebrated with me in spirit!

Blowing my delicious birthday cake... it was made by Tante Nora.

We are complete! Me and girlfriends: Ate Vanessa, Ate Madi (behind me),
Franciska, Ate Diana, Ate Carmina, Kate.

I received lots of wonderful gifts (toys, clothes, greeting cards, and money) that I did not expect and for all of those, I am thankful. I am more thankful for the gift of their presence. And of course to my Mommy and Daddy who made it all possible, thank you very much. I love you all!

Toys and clothes for my birthday!

Thank you also to all my wonderful tita bloggers who left me birthday greetings on Facebook, in Mommy's blog and those who left comments here like Tita Mys, Tita Gene. Special thanks goes to Tita Bambie for making me a special birthday post.

And of course to EVERYONE (you know who you are) who made my day! God bless you all!

Officially One

I officially turned ONE last February 28th. I celebrated my first year in my parents' hometown in Davao City. I know this post is long overdue and I am sorry to everyone for not updating regularly. I have been sick when we got back here from the Philippines because of the heat and I guess my little body just couldn't take it anymore. Good thing though that my cough and colds came the day before our flight back here in Japan or else, we would have spent our vacation to the Philippines in the hospital or in bed. Anyway, below are some photos during my birthday party. Hope you enjoy them!

Making a wish and blowing my cake? Nah... Mommy did it all. LOL!

My birthday cake was a two-layer chocolate and pandan cake
courtesy of my Mommytita Rose. Mommy said it was yum!

My Daddy singing... errr... delivery a message for my birthday. :D

More Lolas at the buffet table. I hope they liked the food.
The spaghetti and the fried chicken were the first to go.
