So today I was trying to take a passport photo of myself- and of course I'm trying this at home with my timer. Seems like a pretty simple task; however I still don't have a passport photo, but this shot ended up kind of cool with the window lines. Just thought I would share.

Sledding

These are the days I'm reminded why I love living in Flagstaff. Saturday we headed for the hills of Flagstaff and found a great sleding spot right down the street from the new Coconino Community College on Lone Tree. We had so much fun!!!

You could really pick up some pretty good speed on this little hill.

Money, Money Money!!! (sing along)

One thing I always dred is Money. It's been one of the most difficult things for me to be able to manage. So as one of my 2008 goals- I've loaded all of my personal finances (and business) into QuickBooks today. I had the bookkeeper come over and sit with me for 3 hours as we dug through my stuff to get organized. It feels so good to start to have a little more order in my finances. It's not this pile of mess hanging over my head. We have tried so many different methods of "accounting" and can never stick with anything. I think I get frustrated and so my frustration leads to-- Let's go shopping!!! It's a horrible cycle. Cheers to QuickBooks and my new finance goals.

Ok- I probably shouldn't talk politics, but I think this election is very interesting and I have not made any decisions on who I support. I will be honest- I'm a registered Republican, but I have been known to vote both parties equally in the past.

Hiking New Year's Day

There are tons of great winter hikes in Sedona. We hiked to Devils Bridge on New Year's Day. This is a great hike to do with little kids. It's only about 1.2 miles to the bridge and it has awesome views the entire way.

Free 16x20 Canvas wrap

Here's a little plug for my photo business!! I have a coupon for a FREE 16x20 canvas gallery wrap print- It's a new vendor (I haven't used before). The order needs to be placed by the end of the month- January 31st.

I thought it would be fun to share with my friends, so whoever email's me first and wants to do a free mini photo shoot next week and order the awesome canvas print- if you don't know what canvas looks like- stop on by! I'd love to show you. I personally think they are really cool and actually a cheaper option than spending $500 bucks on an awesome framing job.

This was our family card and photo. I was so lazy this year, and barely had them sent out in time for new years- to a few family and friends.

Flagstaff Public Library

One of my favorite places next to Bookman's is the Library. There are so many great things to discover.... What better way to spend a Thursday night. It's the best free entertainment in town.

Naomi loves the kids area- she is always making new friends.

We try and come to the libary about once a week.

First Ski day- Arizona Snowbowl

We took the afternoon off and headed up to Snowbowl. The snow was great! Naomi loved it. It's been a few years since I've hit the slopes- I was excited that I still remembered how to ski. It was the neatest experience to take naomi for the first time.
