Conversations

So I am in the kitchen on Saturday morning. We are eating ebelskivers (Danish pancakes). On the table we have out syrup, whipped cream, jam, and raspberries.

Mom: Kiera, what do you want on your ebelskiver?

Kiera: I want syrup.

Mom: OK. (pours syrup onto Kiera's ebelskivers) What else do you want?

Kiera: Sour cream.

Mom: What?

Kiera: (louder) Sour cream.

Mom: You mean whipped cream.

Kiera: Yeah. Whupped cream. I want whupped cream.

Happy Turkey Day!

Happy Turkey Day to everyone! What is everyone doing? I'm going to my grandparent's house. I'm going with my family and I'll see my cousins. It'll be awesome! Did you know that I eat a whole turkey leg for Thanksgiving? Nobody wants it; everyone wants white meat (ew! white meat is way too dry). For my meal I eat a turkey leg, my grandma's AWESOMELY WICKEDLY AWESOME white rolls buttered on the top, salad, and of course, a tasty surprise for desert. I'll update how it went after Thanksgiving. Happy Turkey Day, once again!

Pants!

Pants! Yes, very exciting. I sewed them myself (with a teensy bit of help from my mom and my grandma). At my grandma (nana)'s house I sewed the legs together. As I was nearly finished with them at home, we realized at Nana camp Nana and I had sewn the two front legs together and the two back legs together as well.



I was almost finished, but then after we looked at them, we saw I did not have that short if legs and that huge of crotch. So my mom picked all the stiches out (in a very frustrated way) and we tryed to figure out the pants, but after stiching them and picking, them, my mom finally figured out how to make the pants.



So we started to make real pants, finally finishing them. I then said to my mom, "Mom, I have a cute idea. Maybe we should buy one of those blank white t-shirts and ask Nana if we could borrow some of the same fabric that I used on my pants to make a flower and sew it on the shirt!"



My mom said the idea was awesome, so Nana could you try mailing us a little bit of the fabric? Thank you! Everyone, I hope you like my pants!
