Now...some of you don't know this about me so I am going to let you in on something that is no longer a secret. I am a procrastinator! Yes...I know it is hard to believe but it is most definately true. I am the girl who wishes with all her heart to be the girl who you think is organized, and together, well planned, and so extremely scheduled. haha not going to happen or at least not very often :) But, I finally proved to myself that I could be that girl. We took our kids to the pumpkin patch on the 6th of October!( OOOH...AHHH (she is so together :)) Well, guess what??? I found out why I am the only organized, scheduled, and very together mother in our neighborhood. Because about two days after we carved our pumpkins I had an epiphany! "Hey honey!...I think I figured out why our neighbors are not as organized as us :)".."why?" Because I think it is too early to carve pumkins, by the time Halloween comes our pumpkins are going to be all gross." ..."Yeah, I know."...."What???"..."why didn't you tell me?" So, apparently all those years that I wished we carved our pumpkins early and that I was the mom who was sooo on top of it turns out was a waste! So, now we'll have two pumkin carving parties. I guess I am the mom who LOVES to carve pumkins and make a mess! Darn it. There's always Thanksgiving...

We are so on top of it!

Who said football isn't genetic?
Our baby Muryha has a thing for football! I guess she picked the right family because she is so crazy about football that she sleeps with it...or I guess you could say on it! She's very protective. :) It all began one day when I was cleaning Gabe's room. She was just crawling around minding her own business while I was cleaning up. I noticed that the room was really quiet and as I turned I saw Muryha and her football.

First Day of School
Gabe aka Bob (nicknamed by Muryha) is 10 years old and has begun 5th grade. He took a test at the end of last year to see if he would be able to qualify for ALL which is for kids who are...like Gabe. You'll figure it out! :) He is a thought provoking, book reading, football playing kid who loves to engage in conversations with adults and ...he can actually handle it. He has told me that he'll just wait til dad gets home to help him with his homework because he doesn't think I know what I am talking about. I have to remind him that "Gabe, I am smart!" I'm serious...I can handle your homework! Anyway, I guess I'm not convincing enough because the other day I caught myself giving him my qualifications...I graduaed from High School, I taught preschool for six years (definately didn'tconvince him) , gosh darn it Gabe I have bachelors degree! What's a bachelors degree??? Alright so sometimes I forget who I'm trying to convince :)
Rion is 8 years old and started 3 grade this year. She is our very loving temperature sensitive child. When she's hot she's hot and when she's not she's not. Each of our kids comes with some of our personality and then some. Rion, can be your best friend, best sister, best cook, best helper, the list goes on. She loves one on one time. She loves art, dancing, singing, music, and isn't too thrilled with sports but we make her do it anyway. She is so spunky and feisty at home that I try to motivate and encourage her to treat the players on the other team as if they were Gabe. Rion has picked up on some of Gabes super senses and has figured out the "wait it out" approach. When I ask her to do something she goes slowly and when I'm not watching she stops. Then I find her sitting again and she again goes slowly and when I'm not watching she stops. This has gone one for several rounds until I catch myself doing it while Rion is watching. I'm catching on to my bad habits. Today my kids weren't allowed to go to school until they made progress on their rooms. Sound familiar? My mom picked me up from 6th grade and told the secretaries at the school that I had to go home to clean my room. I guess things to come around.
School Carnival!
At the carnival their were miniature carnival rides, games, booths, and food. Not bad for a school carnival. When you can have a family "outing" for family home evening who can pass it up. Seriously...how many activities are you allowed to have and still have them count towards Family Home Evening? We did incorporate service too. After the carnival we went to my sister Victoria's new house and helped her unpack and set her new home up with her kids. Fun...Food...and Service...I would say we met the components of Family Home Evening! :)
I don't know if I am happy about this or not...
Okay, so my sister is a blogging freakazoid! She keeps sending me her blog and tells me I am missing out so...here I am. If you know anything about me at all you will know or should know that I hate to miss out. Already the responsibility to keep this thing updated is overwhelming to me but since my sister is so crazy about blogging I am going to give her the editor in chief position to my blog :)
