First Day of School 2012

I told the kids to smile pretty...
Cameron is a Junior AND driving!!
 Chantz big shot 7th grader!
Jaycee, my little fashionista, starting 2nd grade.

Jaycee's 7th Birthday

One benefit to having a summer birthday, you don't have to invite your child's entire class to their birthday party. We had a small gathering with two of Jaycee's friends from school. There would have been a couple more, but one of her best friends moved to New York for two years and the other was on vacation.

Jaycee and her friends

Birthday Cake! I love that my kids have decided ice cream cakes are the way to go! It makes life much easier on me. :)

Hamming it up at the bowling alley.

With her look alike!

Welcome to the family, Kellen!

Our little guy decided to arrive unexpectedly 3 1/2 weeks early.
Kellen Craig Thurgood
He was born on 9/17/2011 at 3:12 pm. He weighed 6 lbs. 3 oz. and was 19 inches long.

Coming home at 3 days old.

1 week old, already practicing sticking out his tongue. :)

2 weeks old, and starting to get a double chin.
He was back up  to 6 lbs 7 oz and had grown 1/2 an inch at his checkup.

3 weeks old.
He's always wrinkling up his forehead. I think he's going to have permanent lines.

Happy 1 month birthday, baby boy!

First Day of School

The kids had a really long summer this year. They got out of school in Edmond on May 28th, and didn't start here until Sept. 6th. We were used to starting in mid August. The nice thing is, they all ride the same bus in the morning. Jaycee gets dropped off first, so I don't have to worry about her riding with the big kids. She's got two big brothers to protect her. :)
My little lady, just cause she's cute. :)
She wanted one with her whole first day of school outfit since she picked it out herself.
Chantz's first day of middle school!
Cameron decided it was okay if he was in a group shot. He wouldn't do an individual one. He had a game that night, so he had to wear his jersey to school.
I guess 45 degrees is a little chilly in the morning waiting for the bus.

Football

We weren't sure if Cameron would get to play in his first game of the season. He sprained his ankle the first day of practice and had to sit out a couple of weeks. The coach told him as long as he practiced for 2 days before the game, he'd at least get to suit up.  He got in for one play, but it was a good one!  He made a pretty key block so they were able to get a first down.  Unfortunately they lost the game by 8 points.
There he is, #61. He had the same number when he played at Cimarron.

His one minute of playing time! Actually probably much less than that, but it was great to see him out there!

The game this week had a much better outcome. They won 43-0, and he played a lot. Of course, it was an away game, so I didn't get to see it.
