The Igloo

My boys had a great time with the recent snow.  They worked for hours, I mean like probably 7-8 hours on this igloo.  They had so much fun.  Dad helped them a lot.  I ran out to help for maybe 15-20 minutes and got quite a work out.  That was hard work shoveling snow!!   This was a great memory... I know they will never forget it.  This may be the first of many igloos!!!

SB 2009 Memories

Things I will remember from our recent trip to Hot Springs and Devil's Den....

I will remember:
the excitement of the boys as they explored the cabin.
their bravery as they climbed across logs and went in caves.
Max's new sentence which is "no way"
looking at the stars one night...they were awesome
hiking to the top of a mountain/hill...I thought we would never make it
drinking lots of Dr. Pepper with the boys (just on vacation!!)
talking and talking with my hubby...he is such an awesome guy
walking Mr. Max and talking to the Lord b/c  Max could not sleep well

Thank you Lord for time away.  Thank you for the beautiful things you have created.  It amazes me.  Thank you for time to connect with my hubby.  Thank you for protecting my brave boys.

Finding Their Way

I dont' know why but lately I have been anxious about helping the older two boys finding their niche.  My older one was into soccer and decided to take a break.   He is not too interested in doing an art class but he is really good at it.  Don't get me wrong I love not having to run out the door 2-3 times a week for practices, etc.  That has been a nice break.  I will just continue to pray for God to direct our path and guide us and show us how to provide opportunities for our little men.  They are still young.  I just really want them to find one or two things that they really love.  So for now I shall pray, pray, pray!!  Here are some pics of our younger two having some fun.  I would love it if a few of our boys choose music b/c their daddy is super good at the guitar.

Catching Up

I have not been on here in a while.  Here is just a note about each of us.

"M" the 22 month old has a new word and it is "YES".  He says it so sweet.  I love that it when he says it and I insist that he say it often.  He has a new favorite shirt and it has a guitar on it. He begs to wear it and he is not even 2 yet.

"S" the 3 year old cracked me up the other day.  We walked to school to pick up the boys from school.  There was a car passing by with loud rap music, you know the sound "boom", "boom". He looked up at me and said "Mom, that sounded like "chicken butt, chicken butt".  I just laughed. We don't use that word at home.  It did crack me up though!!

"W" the five year old is making such great progress at Kindergarten.  I was so worried about sending him because he is a boy and has an April birthday and it seemed like such a long day, etc, etc.  He is doing great.  He is reading and he is thrilled about that.  He is very helpful and kind.  He asks lots of questions all of the time!!  He loves his music class at school.  I hope he loves the guitar like his daddy one day!!  He is also a great climber.  I think he might be my hiker boy one day!

"J" the eight year old is just getting too old for me to handle.  He is only in the 2nd grade but I feel like time is just flying by and he is going to be 18 before I know it.  He is such a kind boy, a great little reader, and is very creative.  He loves being with his friends, playing Monopoly, playing Mario Cart, and going to Lowes to do crafts.  He also loves his ripstick.

My hubby and I celebrate our 12 year anniversary this weekend.  We are going to OKC for a night.  I am so excited.  I am praying that it all works out.  My mother in law will watch 2 for us and my dad is planning to watch 2 for us!

Well, I have written a book.  Just wanted to catch up a bit.
