12-24-19: Christmas Eve!

It's Christmas eve!
To start it off right, we visited the cemetery and sang Christmas songs to our loved ones.
(plus our little photo craft & candles)
We love and miss you all!
(Reed gravesite)

Adam is SUPER pumped for Christmas.
Over-stimulated 2,019%
Woot!
(Cantwell / Nelson gravesite)

We attended the tradition Nelson Christsmas Eve party
with yummy food, games and cousin gift exchange

We attended Midnight Mass with our neighbor/friend Cynthia.
It started at 10:30 and ended at midnight.
The boys didn't make it thru mass.
So when we got them home, Adam was DONE.
But we had to get a Christmas Eve,
(even if technically it was early Christmas morning haha)
Mass was beautiful, I really enjoyed going to it.

Quick photo and then off to bed!
When we wake up it will be Christmas!!

10-11-19 TO 10-13-19: Weekend!

Here we are!
Our costumes for 2019 is Medieval times.
Our shark family idea didn't really work out
(the costumes were stupid)
Luke then wanted to be Robin Hood, so we went with that!
We have the King, Friar Tuck and Maid Marion as well!
Our trunk or treat was pretty silly.
And it was really cold (it was at the kiddos school)
but we had fun!

On Saturday I thawed out the freeze (woohoo!)
and then Josh and I went on a spending spree.
We spent $6,700 in 1 transaction.
FOR A NEW FURNACE.
Yes!
Adulting sucks some times.
Like when you have to buy a new furnace because winter is coming
and you don't want to freeze to death!
Sucky!
But the kiddos had a good day.
They Davis boys came over and played with them for 8 hours.
They had a blast together!
We started a new behavior chart, and we rewarded them with play time with friends :)

SUNDAY
We had NELSON family photos!
We used the same photographer that we used for our little family
and we had the same colors, so....
the outfits a mostly the same for us...Michael took these photos.
I'll post the family ones whenever I get them!

Our prom photo LOL LOL LOL

Ironman Adam?

The sheer chaos it is to gather kids for photos!

Mom and Dad had their annual Halloween party.
We had SO MUCH FUN!
There were all sorts of crazy games, and some of our favorite classics too!
This one was new this year.
The child had to open up a bubble gum with giant gloves on
and then the adult had to chew the gum, blow a bubble
and then use a straw to blow a cup across the table.

Stef and Luke rocked it!

Our favorite classic game to squirt out the candles.
It's funny, mom started this one year and now we always want to do it.
It's such a fun game!

Believe it or not, I won the adults, with getting them all out in 7 seconds.
Shay won for the kiddos with 32 seconds.
Woot!

And the soda bottle game.
Another classic!
Plus we get to take home the soda  - score!
Thanks Mom and Dad for making these fun memories with us!
We love you!

12-15-18: Santa pics 2018

We finally went to see Santa to tell him what we wanted for Christmas!
This year Luke is asking for a laptop and Adam is asking for a drum set!
That's quite a list for Santa, do you think he'll be able to fit those in his sack?
Let's hope the boys are good enough that Santa brings their wishes!
Can you believe how big these two are?

Here's our Christmas card this year!

10-31-18: Halloween 2018

Happy Halloween!!!!!
We're carving pumpkins!

This year marks the 1st year that Mr. Adam pretty much carved
the pumpkin ALL BY HIMSELF!

Trick or treating at Grandpa Nelson's is a must!
Also we always stop at Nana's!
But I guess I didn't get a photo this year! :(((!!!
They went around Nana and Papa's neighborhood, because there are a few
neighbors that hand out FULL SIZE CANDYBARS.
I brought my bowl of candy and the trick or treaters got candy from both my mom and me
when they knocked on the door.
LOL

This costume was honestly the best idea ever.
Why?
Because it was so hard for them to walk they didn't get much candy.
LOL
Luke was super mad about it.
But hey, he picked out the costume.
Not me!

I didn't have the heart to tell this T-Rex that our new neighbor Cynthia wasn't planning on
handing out candy.
It was just so darn cute watching him!

10-13-18: Nelson family Halloween Activity

When we arrived to the Halloween Party at Nana and Papa's there was a dinosaur fight
in their front yard!
Can you believe it?

Just kidding!  It's my boys this year for Halloween!
Aren't their costumes epic??!?!!?
It's so darn funny to watch them walk around.
Here's the shot of some of the cousins minus wiggly boo bear, Shay and Payten.

As you can see, Boo Bear was not having it.
He's a superman, he can basically do what he wants.

I love that my parents still have a fall get together.
I love traditions.
They make life more meaningful.
We ate our favorite Halloween foods, Chili, bread sticks and wassail.
The weather was PERFECT and everyone's costumes were so fun!

My boys had a blast competing with all of their cousins.
But in the end, everyone still won.
Nana is good at making sure it's always fair.

Adam was probably the 2nd person to get the ring on the soda pop.
He took the advice from Great Grandpa Nelson, and it worked!

Nana and Papa also made a "Fish Pond".
You had to answer certain questions in order to get a prize.
Papa was behind the curtain.

It was funny watching them whisper their answers thru the sheet.
It reminded me of something else...which is probably not appropriate to mention LOL

And of course the alltime favorite game...the race to squirt the candles out.

Luke did such a great job!!

I was assigned to compete against my brother.

I take this game very seriously.

But my darn brother decided to rather squirt me instead.
He got me so wet I was kinda mad and called him a name.
But I did ask him to forgive me after.

And we made up.

On Adams turn, he was ready to win!

But at the end he had a hard time getting the tall candles,
so his Daddy helped him out.

Josh competed against Stef.

Last game was of course bingo...I mean SCARE.

Thanks again Mom and Dad for taking the time to make this
