07-19-11: Luke and the Helicopter!

Luke is obsessed with our  'local' helicopter.
There's a hospital near by,
near enough to watch it take off and land.
He also sees it everyday on our way home from Daycare.
So today I decided to drive up to the hospital and get him a closer look.
We walked up slowly.
I was nervous to 'intrude'
A life flight guy came up to us.
I told him we were just looking at the helicopter.
He asked us if we wanted a closer look!
See how close Luke got!
He got to sit inside!!!

How cool is that?
That is all he'll talk about.  How it goes up high in the sky. And it's red and white.  Heehee
We printed photos for him to take to daycare to show all his friends.  He's a lucky boy!

07-18-11: Cousin Time

Luke got to play with Austin all day today.
He's such a sweet cousin.
They are best buds.
I can't wait to watch them play and run around when Austin gets bigger.

07-16-11: Michael & Becky's Wedding

MICHAEL & BECKY'S WEDDING!!
It was such a gorgeous day.
Perfect for a wedding.
A beautiful collage made by Stef.

Michael walking with Kamashay
You can see Kallianne in the back tossing rose buds
And the beautiful bride with her Dad in the back.

The bride and her father.
Does she look elated or what?
She's just too cute!

During the Ceremony Kamashay would go up to her Dad
and give him hugs.  Plus she almost knocked over the decorations.
Heehee

Cutting /eating the cake
They were nice to each other :)
Side note: The night before Josh, Elia & I went to a 11 o'clock showing of an old show of The Godfather II on the big screen in SLC.  Since we got home so late, Luke spent the night at Stef & Chris' house.  But Luke also stayed up way too late and was so tired at the wedding. We ended up leaving early and he went to bed at 7pm. LOL.

07-14-11: Brigham City - Lyric

Luke and I went to Brigham City today to Lyric's last T-Ball game of the season.
It was Lyric's first year playing.
He hit the ball pretty good on the Tee.
We cheered like crazy!
He got bored.
We cheered him on to keep playing.
He wanted to go swimming.
We cheered him more.
He was done playing.
We kept on cheering.
He needed to go potty when he was supposed to be on 2nd base.
We cheered him back to 2nd base.

The whole game was pretty funny.
GO LYRIC!!

Then afterward I drove by the new Brigham City temple.
It's so beautiful!!!

07-13-11: Lyric and the babies

My mom emailed this to me:
The baby boys were both crying - so while I went to get some water this is what I came back to.
Darling.

The rest of the story:
Check out the babies when Lyric got tired of settling them down.

Austin, Lyric and Kadence
The babies look pretty mad.
LOL
Love Nana

07-12-11: At work / At Daycare

It's Tuesday.
That's means I'm back to work.
I miss my boogie boy.
I called and checked up on him.
He of course was great and having fun.
I even spoke with him for a minute.
My favorite was when Dee said, "Luke do you want to talk to your Mom on the phone?"
I heard him say, "I talk to my Mom"
Then he said, "Hi Mom!"
That was heart warming.
He told me he was at Dee's playing.
I said "I love you!"
and he said, "love you bye!"

Okay, now back to the grind.
2 more hours until I can leave and pick him up!

07-12-11: Working it out

Josh and I have been walking/running as many nights a week as we can.
We started last week.
It's hard!
But I already feel better being more active!
I want to be healthy.
And so does Joshua.

Luke enjoys the ride in the stroller and is usually asleep halfway thru our walk.
We've even cut back and made our dinners small or not at all :)

Maybe I should take a photo of us doing it, so there's proof we're actually doing it!
I know it's kinda hard to believe

07-11-11: Library bird & popsicles :)

This post is pretty self explanatory.
What you see is cute photos of my cute son.
There's not much more too it.
He's just so cute!!!!
And he's mine :)
The bird hat he made at the library during discovery time.

Cool dude eating a Popsicle.

07-07-11: Owies

Owie!
Owie! Luke was running in his blasted flip-flops and had a little mishap!

Mommy put ice packs on both knees and it helped a little!

07-04-11: Happy 4th of July!

Today we celebrated our independence.

By eating food.
(We woke up too early for photos, but had breakfast at the Church at 7am.)

By wearing patriotic red, white and blue colors.

By going to parades with our Nana & Papa's.

By picking up candies thrown to us in celebration.

By riding in choochoos with our papa & cousin at local city festivities

By throwing fireworks (snaps) on the ground and stepping on them.

We love America and the freedoms we have to do these things!

07-03-11: Firework and Glow Sticks

Luke was very brave to hold the sparklers.

My son is now obsessed with glow sticks.
I wonder why?

The glow sticks were more a hit than the $30 package of fireworks.  You can get a pack of 50 glowsticks for $3 at Maceys.  Awesome!

07-02-11: Water boy

Luke is such a good helper to water the flowers for me.

Watch out, in an instant he'll also try to water you!

07-01-11: Sleeping habits

Lately Luke will wake up in the middle of the night and come into our room,
I'll wake up and find him on the floor next to our bed. LOL

06-30-11: Friend BBQ!

My friends from High School were in town.
We got together.
It's been the first time with all the kids
The first time Josh has met Jami's family.
And years and years since we got together.
Lana and her family live in Vegas.
Jami and her family live in Virginia.

Lana and I have been friends since Kindergarden
Jami and I have been friends since 3rd grade
Katie and I have been friends since 10th grade.
We all went down to Snow College together
and were roommates.

It was so fun to be with everyone!

All the kids.
Luke was being a  bashful stinker.

BBQ time!

06-29-11: Utopia!

Josh has a new job!
It's at a company called UTOPIA
Utah Telecommunication Open Infrastructure Agency
He is in their customer service department.
He has searched long and hard for a job.
He had submitted many resumes.
He has gone thru many interviews.
After a year (plus!) of hardwork it paid off

GOODBYE at&t!

HELLO Utopia!!!

06-27-11: AIRPLANES and HELICOPTERS!

Another Monday.
Another Lukey Day!
Today we went to the HAFB Aerospace Museum
with Kate and her 2 kiddos.

Luke was a little overwhelmed at all the big planes at first.
Then he fell in LOVE with all the PLANES
and HELICOPTERS
We definitely need to take him back again.
BTW...he has gone cheesy.
When I went to take his photo he would say "Cheeeeeeeeese!"
And show the most CHEESIEST grin I have ever seen.
Plus he told me, "One more photo Mama....Cheeeeese!"
LOL.
I love my Cheeseball!!
CHEEEEEEEEEESE!!!!!!!!
Oh yeah, and LUKEY SUMMERS infront of a helicopter!!

CHEEEEEESE!
One more photo Mamma.

LUKE looking at his new helicopter toy we got at the gift shop while wandering
around looking at all the BIG PLANES and HELICOPTERS
