STAMPlorations - Retro Masculine

While going through my STAMPlorations stash this week I came across a couple of freebie items that Shery tucked into my order.  The Retro People ATC  seemed to coordinate perfectly with #12 Mixed Media Card Front .  I matted both panels with cardstock from my stash and a Die-Namic from My Favorite Things.  A really quick masculine card! The paper goods from STAMPlorations are fabulous quality. designs printed on 120# (325 gsm) matte cardstock — it’s REALLY thick! Each card front is approximately 4” by 5.25” — perfect for your A2 cards! For super-quick cards, simply stamp your sentiment on the card front, adhere to your card base, and voila — you’re done!  I would like to share my card with the following: STAMPlorations:  Never-Ending Anything Goes Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Masculine Simon Says Stamp Wednesday: Add a Sentiment Word Art Wednesday:  Anything Goes

Happy Father's Day

I recently received this fabulous masculine stamp set from Unity Stamp Company called Hook, Line & Sunshine .  It's perfect for the fisherman in your life and best of all it's only $12.47 right now! My card design was inspired by Christine Dearinger over on the Unity Show & Tell FB Group . The image was stamped onto kraft card stock and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  It was die cut with Gina Marie stitched square nested dies then layered onto Stampin' Up Chocolate Chip card stock.  The base panel was die cut with wonky stitched die (maker unknown) with paper from The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby).  Inked edges and a coordinating sentiment complete the card. I went clean and simple (no embellishments) as this will be mailed to my father-in-law this week.  He is a fisherman and I think he will like this. Art Impressions - Enjoy the Ride

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge with a fun interactive card featuring their Born To Ride Se t and Garden paper .  This is my first attempt using the new Snap 'N Spin accessory from Pear Blossom Press.  They are so easy to use and reasonably priced. The image was stamped onto Neenah Solar White card stock and colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  A slider space for the mower was die cut with Lawn Fawn Slide On Over (LF1202) dies.  A coordinating sentiment was included to finish the card. Sorry, I'm not very technical but I did a brief video with my phone showing the interaction of the slider.  Hope you get the idea!  I would like to share my card with the following: Art Impressions Challenge:  #429 Enjoy the Ride Simon Says Stamp Wednesday:  Masculine Creative Moments Challenge:  #282 Make It Masculine PIP Challenge:  #2262 Anything Goes

Okay, I'm going to admit it -- masculine cards do not come easily to me!  Anyone else with me?  Unity Stamp Company is rockin' it with fabulous new designs and awesome deals.  This image is one of their new monthly background sets called The Wild Haven .  It is a large (4.5 x 3.5) detailed red rubber stamp with three coordinating images.  Best of all you can get this set for $15.99 right now!  Be sure to check them out! I began by stamping the image and ink blending the background with various Tim Holtz distress inks.  Prismacolor pencil was also applied to highlight areas of the scene.  The image was layered onto designer papers from Unity Stamp Company Found in the Forest paper pack.  A few metal nail head stickers from Mark Richards and a coordinating sentiment finish the A2 size card. Father's Day for Fishermen

I'm finishing up Father's Day cards this weekend.  This pair of cards will be going into the mail for a couple of fishermen in my family!  The sentiment is an older woodblock $1 stamp from Michael's.   I stamped the full image of lures from Unity's Reel Great Guy clear stamp set .  It was fussy cut and colored then used as embellishments.  Designer papers are from Carta Bella The Great Outdoors 6x6 paper pad.   The inside sentiment reads "Have a Reel-Y Great Day!". Creative Worship Stamps - Silhouette Birthday

I'm so honored to have been invited to Guest Design with Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps for the month of July.  I have been a customer of Sweet 'n Sassy since their beginning.  Korin Sutherland began Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps , LLC in 2007 as a small, family-owned, Christian company offering their own brand of clear stamps, dies, stencils and digital products to the paper crafting community. The SNSS products are proudly made in the USA and offer many Scripture based stamp sets.  Be on the lookout for a new company name soon - Creative Worship Stamps! Masculine designs are always challenging for me.  But when I saw the Birthday Guy clear stamp set from Creative Worship Stamps I knew it was a must-have!  This set contains four great sentiments - three are specific to the guys. I began by sponging a colorful cloudy sky then stamping the tree and moose image from Creative Worships Forest Silhouettes stamp set .  A couple of bird dies from the Forest Silho...

Father's Day - Relax, you Deserve it!

I'm sharing a Father's Day card that will be going in the mail this week.  I purchased this wood mount stamp several years ago at my local stamp store. The company name is The Stamp Pad-Co.   This is perfect coming from Alaska!  I stamped the image and colored with Prismacolor pencils.  The image is quite large so I mounted it simply onto scrap papers from my Basic Grey stash.  A few enamel dots finish the project.  I tend to keep my embellishments to a minimum since most of my cards are mailed.  FYI - Postage will be increasing again next month!!   I pulled out a favorite masculine set from Art Impressions for this week's challenge to include green.  There are many hunters in my family - both men and women - so the Ole Buck set is perfect!  I started by stamping the image with my Misti onto X-press It card stock.  I gathered all of my green Copic markers and colored the image.  It was die cut and layered onto old Provo Craft designer paper and Stampin' Up! retired Forest Foliage card stock. On the inside I stamped the deer and "Happy Birthday Ole Buck" from the set.  This will be going to my father-in-law for his birthday next month.  I think he will enjoy the humor. Art Impressions Challenge - Scenic Route

I'm joining the current Art Impressions challenge with a little woodland hunting scene -- hunting for cake!   I need a card for my Dad's upcoming 75th birthday.  He is a deer hunter so I pulled out the fabulous Ole Buck set .  This set is full of fun outdoors images and coordinating sentiments. A birch tree die from SugarPea Designs was used on the base panel.  I sponged the sky using Memento ink and a scallop die.  The hunters were colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut and adhered with foam tape for dimension.  If you look closely, you can see a buck hiding in the trees! Of course, I finished with a fun sentiment and binocular image from the same set. Di's Digi Design Challenge - Make It Masculine

I was a recent winner over at Di's challenge blog.  She has SO many cute images in her shop!  This little guy on the scooter caught my eye called Scootin' Buddy . I needed a little color therapy last night so I pulled out my Prismacolor pencils and baby oil for blending.  It went rather quickly and he was so fun to color!  A sponged cloudy background and out-of-the box die cutting finish this simple card. The Scripture word art is from Word Art Wednesday .  Karen Murray graciously provides this freebie each week.  Be sure to stop over and check it out!
