House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge - Sparkle

Happy Thursday blogger friends!  Blogger was acting up this morning, but I prevailed! I created a shaker ATC for the current House Mouse & Friends Challenge to add sparkle.  I have recently been experimenting with altered playing cards which was inspired by  @StampyMom5 on Instagram.  For my project I began by using a square die cut to remove the center of the card.  The shaker was created with embellishment packaging from my stash.  Little bits of book paper and Gelli print tissue paper were adhered for the "frame".  A small amount of Ranger Opaque Crackle Texture Paste was applied to the corners. Of course, the main focus of the project is little Mudpie & Muzzy!  This is an older Stampendous cling stamp called Cookie Crumbles (2018).  It was colored with Copic markers, fussy cut and adhered to the card with a distressed leaf die and gold thread. I would like to share my project with the following: House-Mouse & Friends ...

Birthday Peeks Card with Pajama Crafter Stamps

Are you ready for Fall weather?  This cute fox image was included with the August new release Christmas Peeks stamp set.  Today I'm repurposing this set for a Fall Birthday card. Getting Started I began by trimming the Pebble Beach card stock A4 base panel to create my scene.  The front panel has been dry embossed with a leaf folder from my stash then distressed with inks and paint. A glitter tape was applied to the edge.  Plaid designer paper was adhered to the inside of the card. Stamp and Fussy Cut The fox image was stamped onto X-Press It card stock and colored with Copic markers.  It was fussy cut and the greenery trimmed so that the fox could be seen "peeking" around the edge of the card.  I chose to pair the fox with Fall colors and thought it would be adorable as a Happy Birthday card!   Creative Takeaway To finish the card a few enamel dots from my stash and coordinating sentiment were added.  Stretch your stash - take a look ...

The Holiday Season is upon us at  Pajama Crafter Stamps  with the adorable Cheers to the Season stamp set.  Today I will be sharing a fun layered scene featuring the sweet peeking bear image from the set. Stamping and Coloring I began by stamping the image and coloring with alcohol markers.  I lightly applied glitter glue to the glass to mimic bubbles then along the base of the image for icey snow.  Among my stash I came across a puffy 3D paint that worked perfectly to create fluffy fur on the bear's hat. The Process I began by pulling together coordinating designer paper from my stash then layered with Pajama Crafter Stamps Pebbled Beach Cardstock base.  A couple of nautical dies from my stash were added for dimension. Art Impressions Challenge - Boy Oh Boy!

Funny how this group of hunters only see the cake somewhat hidden by the deer - who appears very unafraid!  Seems like something that my family hunters might do.  :) When I saw the current "Boy oh Boy!" challenge theme at Art Impressions I knew that the Ole Buck set would be perfect.  There are so many fun outdoor images and sentiments in this set. I created an ink blended background for the hunter image and used a retired Front-n-Backs fence stamp from AI as a border.  The cake image is from Art Impressions Retired Chocolate Therapy set.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the deer.  It was adhered with foam tape for dimension. Of course, the card was finished with a fun sentiment from the Ole Buck stamp set. Scene Building with Galaxy Background and Faux Center Step Card Fold

Thank you for stopping by for a closer look at this week's project for Pajama Crafter Stamps ! For today's card we'll be combining ink blending, galaxy background, wobbler action and a Faux Center Step (Stair) Card for a fun outer space scene. Ink Blending  I began by creating the blended galaxy background with green and violet distress inks.  The colors were randomly blended onto my 4.25 x 5.50 card base. A deeper violet distress ink was blended from the edges of the base panel toward the center, followed by black soot distress oxide ink blended from the outer edges of the card base panel inward. Lastly, white acrylic paint thinned with a bit of water was splattered randomly across the panel with a paintbrush, creating the effect of stars. Stamping and Cutting The adorable astronauts, rocket, and asteroid images from the Such an Asteroid stamp set were stamped, colored with Copic markers, and fussy cut. A mini wobbler was attached to the astronaut to create a fun “no ...

Floral Happy Birthday

Last night I pulled out my folder of images which have been colored but waiting for the right project.  I often color images when traveling, camping or on vacation.  It's nice to have them ready when a quick project is needed.  It was time to create! This beautiful floral image is from an older digital set by Graciellie Designs called New Beginnings.  It is no longer in her shop but take a peek because she has so many lovely floral sets.  The die cut image has been layered onto Stampin' Up! 2020-2022 Designer Series paper in Magenta Madness.  It was finished simply with a Memory Box sentiment tab. I would like to share my card with the following: Time Out Challenge:  #319 Pick 2 (Birthday, Floral, Monochrome) Simon Says Stamp Monday:  Happy Birthday! Art Impressions Challenge - Floral Frenzy

I pulled out one of my favorite gardener sets (now retired) from Art Impressions called His & Hers Gardeners.  I just love the sassy expression on this gardening lady.  Perfect for this floral birthday greeting. The image was embossed and colored with Copic markers then fussy cut.  I decided to add dimension to my card by fussy cutting part of the scene with the Art Impressions Garden Paper Pack and adhering with dimension tape.  I couldn't resist adding the water hose to the scene!  It's so fun!  The birthday sentiment is from another AI retired set Gotta Garden.
