See his orange camo wrap!! We just got done seeing a GI specialist. So our new regiment is mirlax everyday for a month (1/2 cap) and pedisure 2X day as a snack for a month and see how it goes. He had his blood drawn and the nurse couldn't get it so we had to go to the hospital to get it done again. It's no secret that he doesn't poop and he is small. They think he might have ciliac (sp) decease allergic to gluten and a thyroid problem so we are having blood test done. They both came back negative so that is great and he gained 2lbs in a month!! He's 20 pounds at 16 months. They think because he was holding his poop cause it hurt to come out that he in turn doesn't eat cause he knows it have to come out. I don't think he understands that at 16 months, but that is what the doc say's. So we need to train his body that it doesn't hurt to poop so he will go all the time. so now for pooping it's either not going or it a blow out! So we play with the mirlax to get the right dose! So the pedisure is flavored milk it has 250 calories in an 8oz glass. it makes whole milk look like water!! He drinks it best out of a bottle so i can only assume what people are thinking when they see him at 17 months drinking out of a bottle chocolate, banana, strawberry, berry, vanilla milk!! Oh well!! Lets see what another month brings.

was fast asleep and i snuck into his room for a quick sleeping photo and as soon as i took it he looked right at me!!

5 seconds later he was fast asleep!!

notice the spot on his sheets? Well you guessed it he had a blow out earlier and i didn't notice he got it on his sheets. Most mothers would be upset, but not me.. YEAH!! He pooped!! And a blow out!! I know it's because of the laxative, but it's movement!! Way to go bud!!

i think he LOVED it

it worked out perfectly that we were in burley this weekend so we had a tradition of dinner and cake and ice cream at Al's Pizza like when i was a little girl!! I love those memories!! thanks to the hunts, the gerratts, the becks, the widmeyers too for attending the celebration.

no wonder he had a double ear infection, snotty nose, fussy and drooling constantly!!!

oral gel has become our best friend!!

sick slater

poor guy has a cold, coughing (not sure if it was from his nose drainage or a real cough), runny nose, sick eyes. i wanted to get him in to the dr. before the weekend and sure enough it was just a cold......shaydon had a cough last week and is all better. he says mom "slater got sick from me" probably i said. he was so sad!! well by wednesday slater was worse, he cried for 4 hours off and on. nothing seemed to work...so we took him back in and it turned into a ear infection. ughhh our 1st ear infection. hope not to go down that road again. on a side note he had been the most irregulare pooper i know. he goes in spurts of 12-15 days. in my book that is so not healthy. i thought when he was crying that it was because he was constipated. he was a little, but it was the ear infection. now i mix some stool softner in his bottles and it seems to be helping.

i wish i had taken a pix of how sick he looked it makes your heart so sad when there is nothing you can do, but cuddle and love them.

you would never know by his smile that he is having his 1st poop in 15 days... thanks to some baking soda in the kitchen sink. btw his 1st bath in the sink at our home.
