Catch Up!

Ok I make no promises but here are some pictures!! Sophie is still the sweetest girl I know. I am sorry for my absence on the blog but I started working out of the house again on 2/1. I love my new job but I miss Sophie a lot. She is doing great. We had a battle with some ear infections but after getting tubes on 2/16 she is healthy and thriving. She is crawling very well as of this week and just perfect! We live for weekends with our girl!

Snow Day 2010...She didnt' quite get why we were so excited :)

Dinner at Superior with all the kids...the first time the "three Jacks" were together.

The afternoon after having her tubes in. She just crashed after lunch.

She loved our park swing so much that John is already constructing our own swing set in the back yard!

Helping Daddy in the back yard clean out our garden and get ready for the spring.

Riding her knew scooter from my dear friend, Michele's, father.

Playing at the Edmiston Easter Egg Hunt with Lyla Graham.

Easter weekend with Grandpa!

Look who is sitting up!!

Look who is sitting up all by herself! Still only in soft places because after 5, 10, or even 20 minutes she will fall over!

She was sitting on the couch playing the other night and look who crawled in her lap (literally)!! She loved it and proceeded to tug on ears and tails for a few minutes.

6 months old already!

Sophie is now 6 months old! I can not believe that 1/2 a year has gone by since she was born. It is truly amazing how time flies. There have been a lot of new adventures this month...starting daycare, our first cold followed by our first ear infection...and the better ones for me - really starting to interact with the puppies, sitting up without support for minutes at a time, and our first trip to visit friends!

I think every new phase is my favorite but I love where she is right now...so inquisitive, happy and just a joy to be around. We have her 6th month appointment at the doctor on the 22nd so I will post a weight, length, etc update then.

Update on Jan 22

Weight - 17lbs 6 oz

Length - 26 3/4 inches

75th percentile for both

The Princess and the Baby Elephant

New Year's Eve found the whole Tschudin clan in Nashville! We had a wonderful time celebrating the the Erim's and learned a whole lot about the world of dress up and make believe. The Erim household has so many wonderful things in it that our house has yet to experience. There is a pirate ship and a cave with trolls and fairies and so much more and there were two characters that get to see it all...the princess and the baby elephant!

Saturday morning we tried to explain to the baby elephant that he might get eaten by our little tiger! War Eagle!

Michele and Raif...thank you for a wonderful time. We can't wait to see you all soon.

Sophie's First Christmas

Sophie's first Christmas was relatively quiet. We started with the Tschudin family Christmas the weekend before. Sophie was the hit of each and every event and brought us so much joy.

John and I set up a playroom for Sophie has her present this year. We painted some furniture and framed a mural that my aunt Shelby painted. We bought a rug for her to crawl on, drool on and generally just get dirty and voila...S and the boys are now sharing our new playroom!
Sophie's Nanny arrived on Wednesday and got to enjoy and few days with Sophie and her first Christmas Eve service at church. The church does a 45 minute family service with kids crying, laughing, talking, etc... It was perfect and Sophie was mesmerized by the lights and music!

Christmas morning brought a stocking full from Santa and a wonderful day shared with both of our families. We had such a wonderful holiday!

A 5 month old little girl...

My little baby isn't so little anymore and is beginning to look like a little girl. We are spending every second that she lets us hold on and cuddle doing just that because we know before too long she is going to be WAY to busy for hugs. Sophie turned 5 months old yesterday and is doing excellent. We have started her on cereal and she is going to start daycare on Jan 4. This is going to be very hard for me, but a good thing for Sophie, I think.

Here is her 5 month picture with her teddy....

We are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with John's parents and my mom and Paul next week. Sophie already has quite a few boxes under the tree!!! Merry Christmas to you all!

Time to eat!!!!

We gave Sophie some rice cereal for the first time this weekend. We did not know what to expect and had planned to wait until she was 6 months old. In the end, we thought it would be a good idea to get started if she was receptive because she starts day care in January.

We are going to start slow but she really seemed to like it, and we can't wait to try other things. We are having a blast with this!!

Happy 1st Thanksgiving

I have been a terrible blogger recently...but just because it is a little late doesn't mean it isn't true...

I am so very thankful for my wonderful husband, our beautiful daughter and all of our family and friends. 2009 has blessed us in more ways than we could ever imagine. We had so much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving day.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

John's mom found John's old snow hat and mittens from when he was a baby in New Jersey. It was a cold day (not quite cold enough) but we just had to bundle her up for a walk. She is the most tolerant baby ever!!
