The Nifty Fifty

I'm done! I've finally collected each of the commemorative fifty-state quarters. I wondered if I'd be able to wrap up the collection before the beginning of the new year since I was having a hard time tracking down Alaska. At my visit to the credit union today I asked her to check to see if she had any Alaska in her till. I felt like I hit the jackpot after the first quarter she turned over. Alaska. I'm still debating on whether to begin collecting the new coins with the presidents of the US on them. I feel like i was to be done for a while; but since I put all the quarters into the piggy, I'm sure I'll pick up a few.

Master of the Universe

A couple days ago Cousin Kyle commented on watching some good old He-man episodes with his kids, and how much they liked watching all of his adventures saving Eternia. I noticed that He-man had reached the ranks of online syndication on hulu.com the other day so I figured I'd take the same opportunity to show my kids what a real cartoon is like. Hulu by the way is a great site for random movies, and a place where you can catch up on your favorite television shows-both current and from way back when. So instead of storybooks last night, I pulled out the computer and we watched the first episode of the very first season. The kids loved it; Mom and Dad loved it. It was a great blast from the past. I can't wait to see what lies in store for He-man and his friends in episode two.
