The Church releases new edition of the scriptures (print and digital)




The Church has announced and released an updated edition of its English-language scriptures and study aids.
The 2013 edition includes revisions to study aids, new photos, updated maps, and adjustments to chapter and section headings.
Printed copies of the new edition will be available beginning in August 2013.
Changes to the scriptural text include spelling, minor typographical, and punctuation corrections.

Community Easter Egg Hunt - March 23


The RS Humanitarian Committee would like to invite anyone who may be able to participate in a community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by The Hershey Company that will benefit the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter on Saturday March 23, 2013.

(1) Tues. March 19, 2013 Volunteers are needed to stuff over 25,000 eggs. This is a perfect opportunity for children/teens who would like to help as it is during Spring Break.
(2) Various Volunteer opportunities from dressing in bunny costumes, to set-up, to prize booths and much more are needed for the Easter Egg Hunt. Please review the information provided below.
(3) If you are unable to volunteer, but would like to participate with your family, all proceeds go toward a very worthy cause, so please consider adding to your calendar.

Food Drive for Children and Families in Need

As 75% of the students at Ben's school live at or below the poverty level, the staff at Kid's First are taking on a food drive to provide food baskets for these families during the holiday season. The Grandy family will be helping the staff at Ben's school to collect the below donations for this holiday food drive. 

Frozen chickens, turkeys, hams
Boxed stuffing mix
Salt
Pepper
Butter
Instant Potatoes
Cranberry Sauce
Canned Corn
Canned Green Beans
Condensed Milk
Cream of Mushroom Soup
Frozen Rolls or Breads
Boxed Macaroni and Cheese
Frozen pies
Cake Mixes & Frostings
Paper Plates
Napkins
Disposable Roasting Pans
Or any other shelf stable or freezer safe items that you think the families might enjoy.

The minimum goal is a Thanksgiving dinner for each of these families (approximately 60). If any local friends are interested in donating food items, please contact Kelley! She would be happy to come pick up any donations and deliver them to Ben's school. Donations will be accepted until the 19th of November.  THANK YOU!


Humanitarian Service Project

Our Humanitarian Service Project for the month of November will be to participate in the 

Youth Bridges Christmas Decoration Donation Drive.



Please bring in new to gently used Christmas decorations, lights, bulbs, etc. Only foam or 

plastic decorations pls, NO GLASS!  



We will take donations thru November and deliver them early December. There will be a 

box for donations by the RS room.

Fabulous Friday


·         Fabulous Friday is this Friday (Nov 2nd) from 6-10 pm at the church!! Available crafts are on display outside of the RS room and in the email sent by Catherine yesterday.  Money and order forms are due to either Crystal Boyle or Jill Manning by this Thursday!!  Please contact Crystal Boyle if you have any questions.

Two additional “How-To” classes will also be available free of charge:
o    7:00 pm:  FURNITURE RESTORATION
o    8:00 pm:  MAKE YOUR OWN MIXES AT A FRACTION OF THE COST- Includes a demo on how to make a variety of food mixes as well as laundry detergent
