Maddi is now officially out of high school! It hardly seems possible that she is finished .....time seemed to fly by ! We went to graduation Friday night, we had to be there early because they had to turn in their cap and gowns right after graduation so all of the picture taking had to be done before it all started. She wore her new cowboy boots with her new dress under her robes...SO Maddi!!!! All of the girls were escorted by boys and she was lucky to get a really good friend of hers to escort her. Then after a few talks and presentations it was all over. Just be warned if you are reading this and you have a child that hasn't entered high school yet, beware, when they enter those high school doors the fast forward button is pushed on your life and in a blur it is over. I am already dreading that Thomas will begin high school next year! It was just yesterday I was putting huge bows in her hair and sending her off to school with her Barbie backpack ....wasn't it???
After graduation she got to pick the restaurant and instead of going to a fancy place she picked her favorite pizza joint, The Pie . We stuffed ourselves then headed home for a few laughs and some Snickers cheesecake(another favorite). Then she was off to her all night party. They were giving away flat screen t.v's,airline tickets, ipods and money. She won......a Pillow Pet! Ha ha .
She arrived home in the wee hours of the morning tired and happy, high school was a blast but she is excited to move on to the next adventure!! I just wish this summer would last longer, I will miss her like crazy.
