2 month checkup

Little man had his 2 month checkup today. He's right on track--doing just what he needs to be doing. Growing, learning and loving. :) He is a strong little guy--he holds his head up on his own. I've been sitting him in the bumbo and having lots of tummy time lately. He just holds his little head up like he's a pro. He responds to mommy and daddy's voices and gives daddy BIG smiles when he gets home from work. It melts Tim's heart every single time. :) I hope I get those smiles when I go to pick him up after school.

These are J's measurements from the doctor visit today:
Height: 23.25" in 60%
Weight: 12 lbs., 7 oz., in 65.63%
Head: 15.25" in 20.33%

So...he's a big boy.

LIKES:
He is LOVING the television. He loves the colors changing and the sounds. We will walk up and look at the tv throughout the day. He's mesmerized.

He loves his swing when it's nap time...

He LOVES his bath time. He can be screaming his head off at us--then hear that water running and immediately start cooing. He loves to sit in his bath and look around.

He's very curious and stares at everything. Lately he's been eye balling the remote control and the iPhones. It's almost like you can hear him thinking, "one of these days, I'm going to figure out how to get my hands on you."

He likes his monkey bouncer in the morning...watching the lights (like the tv) just mesmerizes him and he gets so excited when his hands hit the toys.

DISLIKES:
He does not like his swing if he doesn't want to take a nap.

He does not like his crib.

He does not like to be hungry. ;)

He does not like to have to tell someone to hold him. (He's a snuggle bear...loves to be held)

He does not like to be still. Always got to be moving.

In General:
Little man is still nursing, but I've been transitioning him to formula since I start back to work on Monday. He is changing every day and so much fun to be around. I love this little guy SO much. He is perfect. :)

Back to the 2 month checkup--he got shots and some blood drawn today. So this is what he has looked like all day (one or the other, I've only gotten one smile, but I think it was gas =/ ). Poor little guy.

2 months

Yesterday Jack turned 2 months old. I still can't believe it's already been 8 weeks since this little guy blessed our lives by joining us. I still feel like I just left the hospital! I have to go back to work on Monday and I'm really struggling with that. I don't want to leave my little guy. He's developing such a personality and he is so much fun to watch as he is discovering this world. I thank God with every ounce of my being that I am lucky enough to be this little guy's mommy. He is so wonderful and truly completes me.

Our day consisted of lots of naps and posing for the camera. Mommy needed to put me down for a second, so I sat in the high chair like a big boy! I also sat on the couch like a big boy with Ty. Mommy was too slow with the camera and only got Ty lying down. He was sitting right next to me and we stared at each other...until mom brought the camera out! Fun times!! I was also smiling for mom an then by the time her camera snapped, i spit up. Looks like she needs to charge up the better camera, huh? Love, Jack

Rainy Day Naps

My life has changed so drastically...I could've never imagined what it is like to love someone so completely. I have changed, but I believe for the better, and I wouldn't have one moment change. I love this darling with every ounce of my being.

I will forever cherish these moments.

Frogs and Hogs

So, I found a cute way to decorate cupcakes (though of course it looked a thousand times better in my mind than the end product). So, Tim and I spent our Friday decorating cupcakes to represent our alma maters' mascots. Yes, you read that correctly (and there is proof below)...Tim and I both participated while Jack took his evening nap!! It was so much fun.

All smiles...well until it's time to eat or sleep or the wrong person is holding me or...well...ok, not all smiles. But I sure am happy in the morning. :)

Little Rock Tailgate

Two times a year the Hogs play at War Memorial and tailgate on the golf course. It's huge and we love it! Mom and Dad are going to tailgate while little one spends quality time with Grandlin and Pawpaw. Woo pigs!!

Rolling Over!!!

My six week old bebe just went from his tummy to his back on his own!! What a big boy!!
