My baby is 3!!!!!!

Today was Leo's 3rd birthday party......sigh. What a big boy. He's been such a trooper lately - new brother, potty training, starting school and having to put up with his mommy everyday again. We're just so proud of him! He's such a big boy - this week, he even started calling us "mom and dad" it sounds so strange!
His party was at a Chuck E Cheese sort of place called Jeepers. He had a blast! Have to say that by far, his favorite part was whacking the heck out of the pinata. We hadn't planned to do one, but as soon as he saw this "phenomenon" he was fascinated! He literally watched in awe at the other kids. He constantly kept asking when his turn was, and he watched without blinks as the lady filled it up with candy, then followed her around like a shadow until she went to hang it up.
It was a great day with family and friends!
Here are some pics, enjoy!

Grandpa Shaffer feeding Wil Grandma Shaffer and Wil (Thanks for watching him during the party!)

Grandpa Bill and Wil Guess we figured out who Wil looks like - Grandma Beth!

Just a cute picture of me and my little boy!

Daddy and his little boy! Any fingers will do.......

Leo loves his new golf clubs from Grandma and Grandpa Shaffer. When we got home, he opened his presents - but this is the only picture he would allow. He also went crazy over his Wubzy doll and remote control Jeep. He is looking forward to playing with his bubble machine tomorrow!

Leo & Casey! so excited, he can hardly stand it!

the Bolt cake!

vroom, vroom!

Look at that smile!

Just some random pictures from the last week........
Leo and "his pal pet Shaney" Wil's first bath that he didn't cry (yeah!!!) I really wish my tummy tub would get here!

Our Mother's Day photo from church - Thanks Rachel!

Leo on the sky ride at the zoo

Leo touching the rock that was with the star fish. He wouldn't touch anything else!

Leo and daddy on the log flume ride

Wil in his bumbo and messy shirt Thumb sucking = happiness

Leo and daddy were on the patio one day when Leo announced, "I made an L!" And he did! Leo has been really into learning about words and letters lately! I'm happy to announce that he officially knows all of his letters and sounds. Makes a Mommy/Teacher proud!

If you look "CAREFULLY" you can see Leo's "D" and attempt at a "K" and apparently, my knees

It is really hard to get any video of Wil - as you can see, Leo gets jealous! Anyway, this was my best attempt, of many, to get my little guy to share his giggles and smiles!
If there are any parents of avid Disney Channel watchers, you know what the music in the background is. For those of you lucky people who don't...there is a "band" on Disney Channel commercials called the Jumparounds. Leo is a FANATIC!!!! He goes crazy (loco) when it's on (his favorite being loco legs!) I tried to get video of his dancing and singing, but have not been successful yet....

Leo is silly - and here is proof!

Daddy and Wil's reaction to watching Bolt AGAIN!!! The following pictures were the result of Leo's idea.......

Leo topped himself with his most recent quote. We were watching American Idol Tuesday night and a young man from Africa was performing. Alex told Leo that one day we were all going to go to Africa. I went on to tell him that some people in Africa don't have a lot of food or money and it would be nice if we could go there and help them. Leo nodded in agreement and said, "Mommy, Daddy, Leo and baby Wil will go to Africa to visit the little boy. We could have a picnic! And the little boy will sing (and oh, yes - Leo sang this part) "Help me, Help me! I need some lunch!"

sigh.... He gets everything we say in his own 2 year old little brain, doesn't he???

Mother's Day, Dedication Day and Fun!

Happy Mother's Day to me! Silly faces with Grandma and Grandpa Stewart

Our boys!

Grandma and Grandpa Shaffer

The boys, yes - even the dog is a boy!

Leo is learning his letter sounds. He loves a show on PBS called "Super Why" and he dresses up like one of the characters everyday to get ready!

Pastor Jeff dedicating the boys to God! Our family

Leo and Wil had their dedication at church today! It was so special because there were "Two Grandmas, Two Grandpas and Aunt Leeah" to quote Leo (Miss Mary was there too!) We had a very nice time!

So, some updates:
Leo's first day of preschool (thanks for the picture idea, Aunt Barb!)

Leo has not had a potty accident in 3 days AND he did his first #2 on the potty too! We have been potty dancing all over the place! His attitude has improved as well :-) Leo started school this week and is back in swimming lessons! He is still a fish, although he is choosing not to always be cooperative at swimming lessons! We are so proud of our big boy!

Wil is smiling and cooing all of the time! He loves to suck on his arm or his fists! He rolled over from his tummy to his back all by himself! He is getting bigger and stronger everyday!
BEFOREAFTER (he didn't like it very much!)

Wil's post

We do still love Leo, but he's in an anti-photo stage lately. Just a quick update on him, he's doing well on the potty training, poor on his attitude. He's getting the terrible twos in at the last minute!

So this is a Wil post. Wil is growing up fast. I may be jinxing it, but for the past 5 days, he has slept for 5 or 6 hours a night, eating, then sleeping some more. We're happy parents! He's also coo-ing, smiling, and laughing. Here are some pictures, enjoy!

our little cowboy. We couldn't pick which picture to post, so we're posting them all.

sleeping baby.......
