inning room update...Last week I went to Ikea for the very first time. I ended up with some great purchases and really cannot wait to go again. I have decided it is probably easiest to take on our home one room at a time. The dinning room was up today. Randy and I bought curtain rods, hemmed, and then hung new curtains from Ikea. They are lined and fabulous. I think I paid $59.00 per package and there were 2 in the package. We have talked about getting some green grosgrain ribbon to use as tie backs on these.
While at Ikea I also purchased 4 yards of green and white striped fabric. I originally thought I wanted to use it on our porch somehow but today it hit me that it matched the curtains perfectly. So it found a new home on our dinning room chairs. Now...what is left in the dinning room? I would like to buy a large rug of some sort and a large mirror for our empty wall.
Here are a couple of pictures after our mini makeover!!!

oodness...I just cannot seem to make up my mind with this little space on the internet. I have decide to keep all personal trials and tribulations out of here from now on. I am an elementary school teacher and have absolutely no desire to be on the front page of the local newspaper because of by blog...or my Facebook page.
