Bounce!

In the fall Zach was invited to a party at 'Bounce'. It is basically a great big room with inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a jousting area, and a Velcro wall. He raved about how fun it was and we finally had the chance to head over there with our cousins and Grandma and Grandpa Cluff. We all had a great time and came away exhausted.
We were really glad to have Grandma and Grandpa there. They were willing to hang out with Darcy while we ran around with the kids. At first Mallory would only play in the little cars. I took her into a couple of things and she only wanted to get out. Somehow, Tim convinced her to try something with him and then there was no stopping her. I was chasing her through obstacle courses and up and down slides for the rest of the evening. Wyatt didn't stay in one place long enough for us to get a picture of anything but the back of him. We all had a blast putting on the Velcro suits and sticking ourselves to the wall. Zach and Brianna-getting ready for the Velcro wall. Ethan, patiently waiting his turn. Tim and the wall.

We will definitely be going back!

Climbing the Stairs

Darcy can climb the stairs. She made her first official, bottom to top climb this morning. Up until now she has tried a step or two and usually tumbled back down, landing on the wood floor. I am not sure if her brother's encouraged this, or just stood by as back up for her. I am just glad that they called to tell me so that I could get the last few stairs on video. Hopefully, she won't try it without someone close by for a while.

Snow Day

Welcome to December! We got woken up at 6:07am (unfortunately it wasn't the first time we were woken up during the night-it was a crazy night) this morning with a phone call from the school district telling us that school was canceled. Sure enough there was about 8 inches of snow outside. School never got canceled for snow in Utah so this was a new and exciting thing for the boys. Everyone was dressed in snow gear and out the door to play at 9:30am. Wyatt lasted about 10 minutes, Zach about 15 minutes. I hadn't even gotten Mallory ready to join them before they were done. Ethan stayed out and played with Mallory for a while. But, by about 10:30 everyone was ready for hot chocolate. We watched Avatar, The Last Airbender (the cartoon series) in the afternoon. We were all so distracted by the change in our schedules that we almost forgot that Ethan had Scouts in the evening. Luckily, Tim reminded us and Ethan ended his snow day with a trip to the swimming pool.

Flag Football

Kickin' Kids offers a flag football season. Ethan and Zach both wanted to participate. We were able to get them on the same team and had...
