Punk!

It's the day every little kid has been waiting for... It's Halloween! While Jack is not able to go Trick-or-Treating, he still wanted to dress up a little. We had a poll posted for his costume, but it ended up at a tie, so we decided to go with Punk Baby! I was all set to draw on an eyebrow piercing, but Sander vetoed the idea. Instead he has two smeared "earrings" on and a blue mohawk.

He was a little grumpy throughout this photo session, but that's okay because he's supposed to be a punk!

And, of course, the adults had to get in on it a little. Why not? It's Halloween!

When else are we going to use up all the blue hair gel?

TV Time?

Jack doesn't really watch a lot of TV, but today I was taking pictures of him on the couch and it seemed to catch his eye. I think some makeover show was playing.

At first he has the glazed "watching TV" look...

Then apparently something funny happened...

And then something suspenseful. He says, "Turn it off, Mom, it's too scary!"

Handsome Boy

These are just a couple of pictures we took of Jack on Sunday. He looked so cute all dressed up in his little sweater vest. And he even stayed in the same outfit all day without spit-up or... other... incidents on his clothes. He's been rocking on his hands and knees for quite a while now, but hasn't quite been able to move anywhere. We think he might be practicing his crawling in his bed while we aren't watching. One of these days he's just going to take off when I leave something tempting on the floor. I'll have to keep my eye on this little guy!

5 months old!

Yay, Jack! He's five months old today! He's getting so big and changing every day. He is now over 18 pounds and loves to grab anything he can reach! He wears clothes in sizes from 6 months to 12 months. He's a big boy! We love to watch him grow and develop every day. We love our Jack!

Wig Time Fun!

While visiting Washington this past weekend, we found some fun wigs to try out. I don't know WHY Miriam has wigs, but hey, why not. After seeing this black one, maybe I should dye my hair...

And Jack didn't want to miss out on the fun, either. I have to say, I think he looks better as a boy. And don't worry, Jack, that's a GOOD thing!

Bath Time

  It's Jack's favorite time of the day: Bath Time! He waits patiently while we fill up the tub...

  He loves to help wash himself off... well, at least help wash his mouth...

  He also loves to watch the water pour out of the cup. He tries to grab it sometimes...

  And he loves his stylin' hair-do as his hair gets washed. Bubbles everywhere!

And now he's all clean and ready for bed. This would be what he looked like if he were completely bald, by the way. Still as cute as ever!

Jack's First Date

Here a few pictures of Jack at his first "official" playdate. We had gone to a park with his friends before, but here we just went to his friend, Colton's, house and just hung out on the floor. Lotsa fun! He behaved very well and had a lot to say to his new friends. Sometimes he was the loudest one in the room! Hopefully he will have more playdates in the future so he can gain social skills. He needs to learn how to share and play nicely with others and it's hard to teach him that when he's all alone!

Ouch!

This morning I got Jack out of bed to find this big cut on his forehead. What he was doing during the night, I do not know. I'm pretty sure that's from his thumb nail cutting across his forehead, but who knows. I don't think there are any sharp objects in his bed... Maybe I should double check.

We got some Neosporin and a band-aid on that cut. We don't want any scars. Well, maybe Jack would like one so the girls will think he is cool.

Finding feet

Lately Jack has been loving his feet. Every time he's on his back he goes straight for the toes.



I think it upsets him when his feet are covered in PJ's or socks. He wants to grab those feet!
