Bailey's Pink Ball

Usually when I ask to buy Bails a toy Sam immediately says no. However, when it is a toy that Sam can see himself playing with he quickly changes his mind. What kid doesn't want one of those balls in that huge cage at the grocery store? And the little boy in Sam couldn't resist, even if Boops did pick out the pink one.
She is already a pro at rolling it back and forth. And she just recently found her love for walking around the room with some help and kicking it.
This little lady has also found a love for pulling herself up to a stand on anything that wont buckle under the pressure of her weight. This mostly means the couch and her toy box if it is full of every last toy she owns.
She also becomes quite proud of herself as she walks along to steal remote controls and phones when Dad stops paying attention and puts them down.
I am also pretty sure she knows how to use my ipad and the apple tv just as well as me. I am not sure what we are growing here, but I am pretty sure she will be able to make fun of me sooner rather than later for not knowing how to work the next big wave of technology.

Xylophone...

For Christmas the Izatts gave Bailey a drum set which she loves, so we decided to expand her repertoire to also include a xylophone!
First she tried it with her left hand.
Then she gave it a whirl with her right hand.
It was long before she loved it, though she did seem confused that when she hit it with her fingers it didn't make the same sound as it did with the mallet.
We were certainly proud parents as we watched her play, but nowhere as near as proud as she was of herself.
I guess we will just have to enjoy it now while her instruments are a 1/100 the cost of what they will be down the road!

Peek-A-Boo

Bailey's favorite toy is this little phone from Grandma Galeria that sings every song in the book. It also teaches her those classics...little piggys, patty-cake, wheels on the bus and...
Peek-A-
Boo!!!
And of course the ending laugh/cry. Who doesn't love that?

Ready, Set, Go!

It is far from perfect...
But this little bug has officially started crawling!
And I missed it. I am with this child every second and she decides to hit this milestone while I was taking a shower and she was playing with her Daddy. She was probably just trying to come find me.
I hear this is when the baby chubs start falling off. I am going to miss them.
Let the baby proofing begin!

The Apple and the Tree

Like father, like daughter...
Bailey is as nosy about what is going on in the neighborhood as her Daddy!
This is how we spent the majority of our Winter.
She also loves getting back, leg and arm tickles more than anyone I know, except Sam!
The apple most definitely did not fall from this tree.

A Weekend With Aunt Dana

Aunt Dana came down from BYU Idaho to visit for the weekend.
We went shopping, sat around, played with Bailey Boopers and of course made some sushi...
Contrary to popular belief, I am not angry at all. That is just my face. When I don't pay attention my face automatically looks grumpy.
The food was delicious. I know because even Sam eats it now and he used to hate seaweed and we are all about 4 pounds heavier. Thanks for visiting Dana. Love you.

Family Pictures

We decided it was time to get some new family shots.
So I called up Makell and she did an awesome job.
Me and my little baby. She apparently is more interested in something else.
I keep thinking one is my favorite, but then I change my mind when I see all the rest.
Love this little face and her personality. I'm pretty sure she will be just as funny as Sam. Boy am I going to go crazy with two of them around.
At least I will get to burn plenty of calories from laughing and most likely running to the bathroom so I don't pee my pants.
You wouldn't believe how hard it was to get her to smile.
Not because she was being grumpy or whiny. Mostly because she had her tongue sticking out 90% of the time.
But when you let her stand up by herself she gets a huge big girl grin on her face that lets us know she is very proud of herself.
And in the words of Sam..."she has a little bit of Idaho in her." Oh goodness.

Thank you so much Makell. We are in love with all of the pictures. You are the best.

Almost there...

She is getting so close.
But then she remembers she is spoiled and all she has to do is fall down and cry....
and we will rush to her rescue.
