Strike a Pose...

Sam told me not to put these pictures up on the internet because we would probably get arrested if I did...
...but how could I not. They make me laugh every time I look at them.
And to think, I didn't even set her up like this. She just found this position all by herself.
Which probably means we have a super model in the making.
(pending the loss of those thunder thighs of course)

Sunday Blow Out...

It was a miracle. We arrived to church on time. We even got to sit in the soft seats. That never happens. I had forgotten how much better sacrament meeting is when your butt isn't numb from the hard chairs in the way back.

We sit down and let Bailey play in her car seat with her chains. She loves her toys. Then we get bored so we decide to pull her out. Sam hands her over to me and whispers...
"Terri, her bum felt a little wet. You should check her diaper." At this moment I feel a lot of wetness on my hand, look, and see mustard all over her back side. So much for being on time. I rush her out and make Sam come with me as we strip the baby down, clean her up, and replace her adorable purple dress with the only thing I had in the diaper bag. Then I accuse Sam of handing me the poopy baby after he realized she had the blow out. He still denies it, but I don't believe him. We always fight over who gets to hold her at church and that hand over was too easy of a win.
She would think pooping on everything at church was funny. She probably did it on purpose because another baby had the same exact outfit on as her. What are the odds? I guess pretty high in Utah. Another load of laundry, here we come.

Tummy Time

The best way to keep Bailey Boopers from crying during her tummy time?
You tube Disney songs and let her watch them...
I am in love with those chubby cheeks.

Sleeping Adventures...

This is how I got to fall asleep every night...
which may look super cute, and was for the first little bit...but after awhile I wanted to be able to roll over without being scared I was going to squish my Boopers, or constantly be waking up because I was worried my pillow somehow traveled across her face.
And I wanted to take a nap and not wake up with drool all over the front of my shirt and sweating to death from my little heat rock.
But I just figured it would never happen. It was like she slept with one eye open and new exactly when I tried to move her into her own bed, and then she would wake up and whimper until she got put back on her section of the bed (which just so happened to be about half of a king size bed), cuddled right up to me, and then she would instantly fall back asleep.

I shouldn't really complain too much. She started sleeping for six or seven hours straight when she was a month old, as long as she was next to me. So I just let her cuddle and welcomed the sleep and figured I would deal with the problem later, like when Sam had a few days off in a row so I didn't become a grumpy Zombie all by myself (my misery REALLY enjoys company, sorry Sam).

And then one day I started to organize her room a little bit. And I found a bag of stuffed animals my Mom had given me for Bails. I showed her the bear, and she instantly started kicking, smiling, hugging, and eating her new little friend.
And I was amazed at how tightly she would hold onto him. Her fat little hands gripped around his furry body.
And then like it was no big deal she started sleeping in her pack n play for the entire night.

I kept waiting for her to cry, like it was some kind of fluke. And then I would get up every few hours to make sure she was still breathing, but she remained fast asleep. And now I miss cuddling my cute little baby to sleep every night.

Hanging with Grandma...

Hey Mom.
Remember when Rachel used to cry because she didn't want you to be a Grandma?
That still makes me laugh whenever I think about it.
Sorry Rachel.
But Bailey sure does love her Grandma!
And sitting in HER rocking chair. Whoever gets the baby, gets the comfy chair at our house, in case you hadn't noticed.

A Grandpa, a Boopers, and a Cuddle Bear...

Does life get any better than this?
Night after night of Grandpa and teddy bear cuddles...
getting rocked to sleep...
and just making yourself right at home in his lap...
Too bad Aunt Connie (and Sam too!!!) can't graduate from college everyday.

A Baby Bailey Blessing Day!

This morning Bailey got to wear her new white dress for her baby blessing in church.
Lots of family members made the long trip for the special occasion to show their support and love.
The weather was sunny and warm but there was enough shade for a few quick pictures.
The proud parents couldn't be happier with their little baby.
Though this better be the last big white dress she wears for a long, long time.
Back at home Bailey greeted her guests and did well not spilling/pooping/staining her dress.
The food was delicious; fried rice, kabobs and egg rolls.
It was hard to get a picture of Bailey's whole dress since she can't stand, but she was a good sport as we tried to lay her down in all sorts of directions.
And since her parent's are both awesome procrastinators by the time we got around to doing a real photo shoot to show off her pretty outfit Bails had acquired her lovely raspberry, almost outgrown her dress, and learned to sit up for small periods of time.
She had also gotten a little better at smiling on command, holding up her head and chubby body, and hamming it up for the camera...

Bailey, you have been such a wonderful blessing in our home. We love you so much and are so grateful Heavenly Father has given us the opportunity to raise you and watch you grow.
Always remember you are very loved.

Family Picnic

Since a large group of us were in town for Bailey's blessing we decided to hit up the canyon park for a nice relaxing picnic.
The evening was full of good company
yummy food
Boopers being the center of attention as usual
wrestling, football, baseball and running around as fast as little legs would go
and of course Sam taking pictures. Luckily for him Jana was also present which meant two cameras going and thus him being able to make an appearance in the memory book once or twice
thank you so much everyone for making the trip (up and down). We love you all and you definitely helped make the weekend super special and memorable with all the graduations celebrations for Connie and Sam, blessing of Bailey, and stitches for Clyde. Can't wait to see you all again.

Cuddle Bear

It was love at first sight...
...and now there is not a single nap or play time that goes by without cuddling, hugging, petting, and licking her little bear.

Bumbo

At first Sam didn't want to get one because he hated their name. I decided to get one anyway. Now he is obsessed with putting her in it...
...because she is the cutest thing ever with her little feet hanging out.
Don't mind me stuffing my face.
I have to eat fast because I always feel guilty eating in front of her. She just stares at me with her little puppy eyes begging for a bite.
