Across the river with reflection in the river.  You can even see the water tower from across the Mississippi.  So cool.

The men

Hero Angle.

The movie here was exclusive to here.  It was beautiful just about his life and what kind of man he was.

Cool church we saw in Carthage

The courthouse in Carthage...beautiful.

Another cool church

On the way...traveling photos

Toll Road

A little bit of lightening.

The Church's Buildings in Kirtland, Ohio

Johnson Inn.  Inside is a visitors center.  It had originally burned down but in the exact spot they erected this one just like it would've looked.

Loved this display

Sawmill

Kirtland Temple

Tempt us NOT!!! Ha ha...lol

Cool hill.  Simon's Ryder's hill...I think this is the one.  He didn't join the church because he thought the church would make him sell his hill.

Pano of the Kirtland Temple

Graves next to the temple.  Some early members of the church are buried there.

Monument to many but especially Hyrum's first wife, Jerusha and Joseph
& Emma's twins.

I am a big Pratt fan.  Parker was named after Parley Parker Pratt.  Thankful is Parley's wife.

Kirtland Temple owned by the Community of Christ (formerly the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints.)

This is the visitor's center.  At the very end they open these big windows to view the Kirtland Temple.  The tour guide was a great orater but I found him too loud when we entered the temple.  He was a very good orator though and gave us many details and facts we didn't know.  An interesting tidbit...our group was big.  One of the guys asked if they could sing.  No one played the piano and so Ryan played for us.  That was pretty neat that he got to play in the Kirtland Temple.
