We are here to Trick-or-Treat - Oh, Happy Halloween!

On Saturday
we had a big fun Halloween Party Day planned.

We were going to go to a big pumpkin patch for the day,
then go to our Trunk-or-Treat/Halloween Party.

Well unfortunately it rained on our parade . . . literally.
It was way to cold and wet to go out the the pumpking patch.
So we just headed to the store
and got some of our own to have fun with.

We decided that since Hayden was to little to carve
that she could paint her pumkin.
We got her some paints and she absolutely loved it!

Once she was done with hers, we let her help with ours.
She loved pulling out all the guts.
She would get her whole arm in there and pull out tons,
I couldn't believe it.

"I'm supposed to eat this right?"

"Umm, maybe not."

Final inspection before clean-up.
Paint covered hands . . . Check.
Pumpkin & Seed covered body . . . Check.
Okay, we're officially ready for a bath.

Our little witch wasn't quit sure what to think about going out.
When normally at this time she would be going to bed.
And instead,
we put her in a big dress and hat and head to Trunk-or-Treat.

At first she didn't know what to do.
But then she discovered . . .

There were so many games, and

So many prizes.
(I was grateful they weren't all candy.)

I love this picture because
they have the exact same look on their faces.

Putting Eyes on the big monster.

Playing "Hoop around the Pumpkin"

This is her little buddy from church.
They gave each other the funniest looks.
I don't think they recognized each other.

Doing her 1st Cake Walk.

Winning her 1st Cake Walk!

Enjoying her reward.
At least for as long as I would let her.
After she got a taste I stole it and ate it.

Then she went over to the crafts table.
Since she was too little to do the craft,
we just had her color a Halloween picture.

We decided to sit down and have a little break.
With all this time on her hands, Hayden decided to
start inspecting her prizes in her Halloween basket.
She found this sucker, and of course Daddy gave it to her.
Wow, this girl really LOVES suckers!

Towards the end of the night Ryan and I were pooped.
We had played all the games (a few times), and we were ready to go.
Hayden on the other hand would have played all night.
She just kept wandering around and around to see what everyone else was up to.

On our way home, I don't think she knew what was going on.
She was still on a high from all the fun she had,
but was also starting to feel tired.

What a cute little witch.
I'm so happy that she had such a fun Halloween Party Day.

Little Man Update

Well it is looking more and more like we are going to have a Halloween baby.
(My dream come true!)
I went in for a check up last week, and I am dialated to 3cm, and 30%.
He is still pretty high up there,
but they said as soon as he drops he will be here.

15 Months

Our little lady is getting so big, so fast.
She is just the most fun kid, we love having her around,
brightening up our home.
She always brings a smile to our faces
and always makes us laugh.

Her 15 Month Stats:
22lbs 11oz - 45th%
32 inches - 75th%

She is loving being here in Michigan,
Where she gets to go outside all the time.
This girl loves to be outside,
even in the cold rain I can't keep her in.
Sometimes she only gets to play on the front step,
but she is fine with that,
as long as she gets to be outside.

She loves helping me with EVERYTHING I do.
Whether it's, cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping, crafts, blogging, or household projects.

She still isn't much into t.v.
(though I wish sometimes she would sit and watch
a show while I got something done.)

She is getting much better at playing by herself.
She loves to:
- Sit and look through her books.
- Stack objects - even if they aren't meant for stacking.
- Move things from one container to another, and back again.
- Watch football/basketball with Dad.
(This one has been since birth.)

She has a love for music.
She loves anything with a good beat.
She's not a fan of country or slow chillen stuff.
Mostly poppy bumpin' stuff.
and when she hears a good beat . . .

She LOVES to dance.
and she has some serious moves.

She is figuring out how to:
- Jump -
she is so close, she jumps so hard,
but doesn't usually make it off the ground.
- Give "big bear hugs" -
This one she has down to an art.
squeezing so hard that she shakes and groans.
- Put her things away -
This one is my favorite.
She can put away some of her toys, and go and get things
for me, like her shoes, jacket, cup, books.
I love it.
- Pick out her own things (clothes/shoes)
This girl is very fashionably inclined.
(she didn't get this from her t-shirt/jeans/flipflops mom)
She loves to pick out her own stuff at the store,
she cries if we can't get something she really wants,
but if we DO get it, she wants to wear it all the time
and admire herself in the mirror wearing it.

Her favorite:
Food: Spaghetti/pasta, but only homemade.
Drink: Ocean Spray - Cran grape.
Song: Theme song from "The Office"
I don't know why, but it's hilarious,
She has a specific dance she does only for this song.
Fruit: Strawberries or Cantelope
Book: "Peek a Boo" Halloween book from Nana Jan
Shoes: Brown Ugg type boots
She wants to where them every day, even to church!
Time: Bath time / Time outside on the swings / Sam's Club trips.
Things: Animals, animals, animals
She loves hearing the different sounds they make
and trying to mimic them.
