Carter turns TWO

Carter woke up to the traditional birthday sign, presents and balloons.
He just wanted to play with the balloons
until he realized that there were toys inside that wrapping paper.

He was so cute and excited.
He couldn't open those presents fast enough.
He got to wear his new birthday sweater to church that day.
Since his birthday fell on a Sunday,
we took him out to his favorite place,
Texas Roadhouse, on Saturday night.
He loved everything except for the birthday singing.

The he had a birthday party with his friends at Chuck-e-cheese,
complete with a big "Cars" cake!
Daddy mostly took video so we don't have many photos,
but we had so much fun, and are so blessed to have such a
fun, funny, witty, silly, snugly, cute, sweet, energetic little boy!
Happy Birthday Carter!

Halloween 2011

This was such a fun year for Halloween.
The kids were REALLY into it.
Reading Halloween stories, watching Halloween movies.
They were so excited about their costumes,
and couldn't wait to "Trick-or-Treat"
Thanks to some friends we found the BEST neighborhood for Trick-or-Treating,
and the kids literally RAN from house to house
until they physically couldn't walk anymore.
(about 45 min. of straight running!)
They were so cute and had a BLAST,
and we had a blast just watching them!

Everyone kept asking Hayden if she was Pocahontas, and she would reply
"No, i'm Hayden Jayne Hunt, i'm just dressed up like an Indian Princess"
After saying this a few times, she would get a little annoyed
when people would ask, it was pretty funny.

Carter was the cutest little cowboy I have ever seen!

Cider Mill

Shortly after we came to Michigan we found Uncle John's Cider Mill.
It has been a favorite place of ours,
and quickly became a tradition.
Usually the weekend we plan to go is cold and/or windy,
and a lot of the rides are down.
But this time (our last time) we rescheduled twice
to make sure we got to go on a good day.
It was SO worth it!
The kids had a blast riding the rides, and playing the games.

They were so brave and seemed so big
riding on the rides together without Mom or Dad.
It was so cute watching them encourage each other,
and comfort each other if one got scared.
They really are best buddies, and I am so happy they have each other!

After we had our fun outside,
we went in and got some apple cider and home made doughnuts.
Everything was delicious, as always.
And the kiddos loved it all!

We will really miss going to Uncle Johns,
but we have enjoyed having such a fun place to welcome the fall each year.

Princess and the Frog Tea Party

For Father's day, my Mom sent Ryan and Hayden
to a daddy/daughter "Princess and the Frog Tea Party"
It was so fun for Hayden to get all dressed up and
"go-out" with her daddy, having him all to herself!
She was a little freaked out about someone she didn't know taking their picture.

They made cute little picture frames.

Played musical chairs.

And had cotton candy!
