Texas fun!

Our week in Texas was full of lots of different activities.  One of them was my friend Whitney's wedding, which was at our same reception site.  It was a lot of fun to relive what happened just a little over a year ago.
Dancin' the night away...

The four of us, my brother his fiance Sara and ryan and I.
Us by the Texas Longhorns, the fence wasn't very sturdy so it was  little bit scary.

Since Texas was 100 + degrees every day that we were there, we spent a lot of time in the water.  Here's all most all of us in the pool by our house cooling off.  The boys attempting mow hawks, although Ryan's is pretty huge.
We were told to act like elephants right before the picture was taken and had to do the first thing that came to our mind.  These pictures can be really funny... not sure how ryan is an elephant in this picture!

I got to see my closest friends back home in Texas.  It's so fun getting to see them when I go back home, and I'm glad we're all still really close.
My Grandma Scott got diagnosed with stomach cancer at the beginning of summer, and wasn't going to be able to make it up for my brother's engagement party because of Chemo.  But luckily she didn't get chemo that week because her red blood count was too low, so we were able to see her!
We also got to meet justin's girlfriend Mega.  She was a really sweet girl, and we had a fun time with them while we were down there.

One of the days there we went to our friends lake house at lake McQueeny 30 minutes away from my parents house.  It was a really fun day, we got to ride a jet ski that went 65 mph,  jump off a rope swing high up in the trees, boat, and enjoy s'mores at night.

My brother and his fiance Sara got to come back to Texas with us, and we enjoyed getting to know her better.
We also floated the river, but we didn't get any pictures from that.

Thanks mom and dad for a week full of fun!

Celebrating our One Year!!

This past friday was our big one year anniversary!   It's crazy how fast the first year of marriage goes by.  Everyone always says that the first year is the hardest, but if it is, we have a fun future ahead of us!   We got to revisit the place where we had our reception, because one of my friends was having her reception there.  It was fun bringing back our memories from that beautiful day.

For our one year we went to a hill country resort.   We enjoyed floating a river at the hotel, and went out for a really nice dinner, then you know what happened... we watched the OC and fell asleep.   We're so thankful for each other and the chance we had to be married in the temple a little over a year ago!

I love you babe!

What we've been up to in July....

Where do I start it's been so long since I have posted anything. Life has been crazy with work, school and lots of vacations. I'll start with the 4th of July. The day before the 4th we went down to Provo with Tyler and Jaimee so go to Seven Peaks waterpark! It was a lot of fun and we we're glad we could get together with them for the day. All four of us came close to dying that day though, when we all went down a very tall slide and got some air, and started to free fall. Needless to say i'll never be going down a slide like that ever again. Later that night we met up with some family on my dad's side for some dinner, pole vaulting lessons, and picking delicious cherries. Then later that night we drove back to Logan for fireworks because for some reason Logan doesn't celebrate the 4th of July on the 4th they celebrate on the 3rd. It was fun though, Ryan and I went out in our "backyard" laid a blanket out and watched the fireworks. A little burnt from the waterpark in the picture below...

It was weird getting used to a different cities 4th of July celebrations. On the 4th they do a thing called The Cruise In. Which is a bunch of old cars that people have fixed up and they drive them up and down main street.

Back the Future car... they even had crazy gray wigs.

Next in July... We went to Colorado to visit Ryan's family and for Ryan to try out for American Idol in Denver! Although it was a long day, I'm so proud of him for trying out he really is a talented singer. Here's how our day went, we woke up at 2:45 am to drive to Denver and we got there at 4:30 am to line up. They didn't let us into the Invesco stadium until 8:00 am and Ryan didn't end up trying out until 4:30 pm. It was a long day of sitting in the heat along with a bunch of strangers. But, it's cool to say been there done that.

Early in the morning the day of tryouts, Waiting in line to get in.

The big crowd of people!

The 12 tents that they tried out at.
....and Ryan Seacrest! Who stopped tryouts for over an hour.. ugh.

Waiting in the heat for 10 seconds of fame.
Ryan waiting in line to tryout... He's in the middle in a black shirt behind the girl in the pink. And Ryan about to tryout... I was sick to my stomach nervous for him at this point.

The next day after tryouts, Eric, Hannah and Us went to Water world for the day. Another water park and another full day of fun!

This past Wednesday I finished up my 2nd try at my Anatomy class, and happy to say that I got an A-! I'm very happy to be done finally with that class, and I can now say i'm an Anatomy pro.

This Tuesday we leave for TEXAS! We're excited for a hot week while at the pool, river and lake! Pictures will be up soon from that week!
