I was able to take maternity pictures for my cousin and his wife up here in Seattle. I have seen them more this last month than I ever did growing up. This is GREAT!!!

A Photo Shoot...

This was my first shoot not being with famiy and planned in advance. Marianne asked me to do her maternity pictures and I was super excited/nervous. It was a beautiful morning, and the mosquitos were on a rampage, but the pictures make it all worth it. Thanks for giving me a chance Marianne... I had a ton of fun.

Happy Independence Day!

This weekends celebrations started early for us. On Friday we headed into Seattle to visit downtown. It's always a cultural experience and we haven't been there this year. One of our favorites is Pikes Place.

I LOVE the fresh flowers there! I dream of living in the city just
to get fresh cut flowers... some day.
We walked around to shop the great fresh food. We dibbled a little here and there.
We bought fresh cherries from one...
A freshly cooked crab from another...
A hot baguette from the French Bakery, and headed home for a wonderful dinner. What's for dinner you ask? Why the bread, cherries, watermelon, and crab. YUUMMMM!
We picked the steepest hill to walk back to the car.
At least I wasn't pushing the stroller. What a man!

Oh, this is a picture of Abbi and I in front of the infamous GUM wall. That's right... this is all previously chewed gum behind us. The wall was rather long too. There was everything from student id's to feminine products stuck to the mounds of gum. This is not only one layer either, no there was no bare wall to be seen for a while... layer upon layer of nasty chewed gum. Gotta experience a variety of things right? It was actually pretty intriguing.
On Saturday Mark and I were able to go out on a hot date! We went to downtown where they had an authentic Argintine restaraunt. Mark was super excited since he hasn't had real Argentine cookin' since his mission. It wasn't cheap, but so worth experiencing a smidge of what Mark experienced on his mission. The food was actually really good. They had this chimichurri sauce that was really great. We enjoyed it for the rest of the weekend... like fresh salsa it is a gift that keeps on giving ;)
This weekend was great despite the weather! Sunday was rainy all day, but we still ventured out to Alki Beach. The picture below is actually Seattle but you can barely see it because of the rain.
This jelly fish was fresh. It was totally intact and awsome to look at!

Brooks was totally captured by replenishing the ocean of its rocks.

The girls always love collecting shells, and of course playing with the jelly fish.
What a great couple! I love funny pictures.

Swim Lessons

Last year we experienced beautiful weather here including some record temps of over 100 for a few days. This year, on the other hand, has been much cooler and rainier than normal. I guess we get to experience the extremes of WA. Needless to say, the kids FREEZE while doing their lessons. The pool is heated but when it is 65* outside and only 70* in the water... it is COLD!

I'm glad they're kids 'cuz they love it!

Brooks was even able to get in this year. Hallelujah! No more chasing him around anymore. He is doing really well too. I've been totally surprised at how quick he catches on. He's adorable!

Happy Birthday Annabelle

We celebrated Annabelle's birthday on Saturday with the McClellans. We hid her presents around the park for her to find, played some baseball, and just hung around for the day. It was great to have the sun awake for the day. Yipee!

S'mores could not be left out especially if it is the one day a week to eat whatever and the only opportunity to be near the perfect flame... I think this was my fav'. Upset tummy anyone?

Jorelle was so sweet! She made cupcakes for Annabelle and decorated them with cute crowns. Thanks for being with us, it is so fun for everyone.

Dear Ava

The other day Jorelle and I were able to meet up and go to the park. She had just received some dress-up goodies for Ava so we had fun... I just love how they turned out!

THANKS JORELLE!

My Baby... Growing Up!!!

Abbi's front tooth has been loose for a while now. The other day she fell and knocked the other one more loose than the first. This picture is at the park. She kept sticking her tongue between them and it was gross.

This girl is drama! I swear I was blessed with her because of my intense tom-boy attitude up 'till highschool. She is everything girl. Anywho, I mention that because it took me 20 minutes just to talk her into me trying to pull it and another hour for it to actually come out. She was hilariously frustrating. She'd muster the courage but the moment I'd stick my hand close she'd start crying and say "but I'm just not strong enough" or "I'm scared".

DRAMA.... DRAMA... DRAMA

The moment the first one was out she was all smiles. That was enough drama for one night... She waited until the next day to pull out the second. She considered it a Father's Day gift for Dad.

Second grade... Missing Front teeth...
GROWING WAY TOO FAST!

Gene Coulon Park, Renton WA

Now that we're in WA it doesn't feel like summer in the least! We've been here for two weeks and it hasn't stopped raining, nor has it been above 75 degrees at all this year! Last year it was record heat over 103 for 4 days in a row... torture. Now this year it isn't doing anything but rain. On Saturday it stopped raining for about an hour so we jetted to a nearby park to break the the monotony of this apartment. The park is Gene Coulon Park and it is on Lake Washington. It is BEAUTIFUL to say the least.

There is a great play structure that the kids loved for a few minutes until it became too crowded for my comfort. After playing we strolled along the pathway folowing the border of lake WA. So breathtaking... and the rain seems to enhance the greenery of vegetation no matter the species.

Annabelle is so full of character and passion. She is a great reminder

for me of how much I need to enjoy every moment.

Brooks is growing so much. I never seem to catch his face straight on
because of his genuine intrigue with all that surrounds him.

It was a great family day to spend together.
Thanks for chillin' with the fam Davey...
and for shootin' some pics.
