It's the most wonderful day of the year!!! Tate waiting anxiously for Uncle Nathan & Aunt Angel to arrive.
Tate had taken off his new tortoise slippers so he could run
faster, but the teens assured him he could put them back on and they’d let him
win.
...Didn't hesitate for a second tearing through Anna Kate's Elf Patrol.
Devastated he got naughty coal tic-tacs in his stocking.
We love our crafty Aunt Angel gifts! She put crayon shavings in an ornament and melted them with a blow dryer.
Tickle Me Elmo!
Dreams do come true!!
Carigan wanted me to order her this Trader Joe's body cream
(she discovered from the Smith girls while in Dallas) overpriced on Mecari, because we don't have a Trader Joe's. I checked for it at Trader Joe's in Nashville a few months ago and bought her a bunch!
Bucs gear for their first Bucs game on Sunday!!
Carigan's top wish was a Daybreak candle from Magnolia Market in Waco. She smelled it when we were there and could not top talking about it. It was expensive, so I didn't take her seriously when we were in Dallas. But she has not quit talking about it. She has continually said it's what she wants as her Santa gift. But to order off the website, you have to spend $100 to get free shipping, so if I'm going to go to all that trouble to hunt down a candle from Magnolia, I'm going to go all out and make sure she's set for a few years. I'm all about buying in bulk!
I can't resist 90% off post-Halloween costume sales if I know it's going to get a laugh. Wesley and I are of one brain.
I gave Nathan an ornament with an impression of my ear. Instant
family treasure. Pure Rhodes awesomeness.
Tate gave Chimichanga his hot dog socks.
Cold foam from Aunt Angel!
I picked out a hat for Wes at Buch Gardens with our Busch Bucks. And Anna Kate works hard every year to find the funniest gift for Chimichanga. She thinks she won with this Trump toiler bowl cleaner, but I think my ear ornament is still in the running.
Tate had to go get his beanie when Wes opened his North Face beanie.
It's not actually Christmas if Wesley doesn't put together an entire LEGO set he got for Christmas before the day is up.
Thankful that Mimi & Grandpa were in town to join us for Christmas dinner this year!
Annual post-Christmas dinner waddle around the lake with Madison & Sophie.
One final round of Christmas with Mimi & Grandpa.
Wes is ready to hit campus with his Ralph Lauren kiddie backpack. I loved
every second of having a full nest today!
