Heading to the Bay Area

Robert was just recruited by Netflix to work out of the San Francisco Bay area in Los Gatos, CA!

I can't believe after 7 years we are leaving WA. I'm scared and excited all at the same time!

Should be a fun adventure! Looking forward to some beautiful sunshine year round!!!!

Both Robert and Lauren stayed home from church this past weekend due to illness. They both had a deep in the chest cough and were just miserable. Poor Lauren was afraid to eat anything because she was sure she would not be able to keep it down. I'm grateful we didn't have the flu or anything like it. Monday morning they still weren't feeling very well and Eryn came down with a temp. She was pretty cuddly all day. I wish my kids were like that even when they weren't sick. Robert stayed home from work and Michelle also stayed home from school. She wasn't feeling very well and neither was I. So, we had a family sick day!

Fortunately I'm feeling better today and both Robert and Michelle were able to go to work and school.

It is 9:20 am and both Eryn and Lauren are still sleeping. Maybe I will go take a nap? I was up until 2:30 am last night because I couldn't sleep.

While in Florida over Christmas we took some family photos...

I really wish Eryn had let us take an individual shot of her. She was not in the mood when it was her turn. :-(

Michelle asked me yesterday if she gets to start attending RS when she turns 8. Ha ha What she really wanted to do was come to the RS birthday dinner. She heard birthday being announced in Sacrament meeting and she instantly thought we were having a party.

Michelle is always up for some fun!

Tooth update...she is finally getting her new front teeth to come in. She had ended up losing her top 3 front baby teeth all around the same time. Because of this she requested peanut butter and honey Sandwiches every day for school lunch because she couldn't eat much of anything else.

Lauren started taking gymnastics about a month ago. She LOVES it! The whole experience has been really good for her. Our first day she was very hesitant about participating and very cautious about everything. She really didn't do much on our first day there.

We have been going for over a month now and I'm so proud of her. She has attempted things and done things that in the past would have been very intimidating and scary for her.
She has been very brave.

Wow....has it really been that long since I posted something on my blog?

Eryn is now over 2 years old and the last entry on here is of her baby blessing.

Sad sad sad.

Well, Eryn loves pretty things and loves her shoes. Dad's shoes and pretty much any pair of shoes she can get her hands on. Big mistake taking her with me to look for new shoes for Michelle. Eryn had to try on every pair.

I think I ended up buying more shoes for her than I did for Michelle. She is going to have a major shoe collection as she gets older. Eryn is also very particular about what she wears. She knows what she likes and what she doesn't like.

In this picture (which I absolutely love of her) she is wearing her favorite hello Kitty outfit!

I have to hide it from her when I'm folding the laundry because if she sees it she wants to shed her clothes and put it on. ha ha....Eryn...my little fashionista!

Eryn is now 2 months old

I can't believe that Eryn is now two months old. She is such a good baby. I can't complain. I had prepared myself for the worst that could possibly happen when transitioning to 3 kids. I had many friends tell me how hard this transition was and so I was ready to take it on. Suprisingly it has been much easier to go from 2 to 3 kids than it was to go from 1 to 2 kids. I'm very grateful for that. Eryn is my first child to take a pacifier and a bottle. She has also started to sleep 6 hours at night on occasion. Michelle and Lauren are awesome big sisters and a huge help in taking care of her. They have been wonderful. Robert is also a huge help. He is not afraid to watch all the girls alone knowing that he can feed Eryn her bottle if she gets hungry while mom is not home. This could never happen before because our other two girls refused to take a bottle or pacifier. My house is easy to keep clean thanks to all of the help from DeAnne while she was out. She trully was selfless during her stay. I cried when she left. I was very grateful. I know it has been awhile since I last pubished a post but I promise I will update my blog now and then.

Eryn Elizabeth Sweeney

On Jan 5th I spent almost 5 hours running from one store to the next thinking that I may not make it back to the store again until after our baby was born. It was later that evening at 9 pm when my water broke. I think I did a bit too much walking that day. :-) This was the first time that my water has broken while still at home. It was a bit exciting! My house was a wreck and I was completely unprepared to be heading to the hospital on that day. My fingers were shaking as I scrolled down my address list on my cell to call and set up babysitting for the girls.
I was so grateful for my brother Josh and my friends Linda and Cindy who were all willing to take care of the girls at different times while we were in the hospital.

Well, when we finally made it to the hospital and got checked in it was just after 10 pm. By this point I really hadn't started labor yet. I actually didn't start on my own until 2 1/2 hours after my water broke. I asked for an epidural around 12:15 am. Eryn was born at 12:55 am.

She is beautiful. I was so happy to hold her in my arms for the first time.

Michelle Celebrated her 5th Birthday

Michelle has asked me several times each month since the day she turned 4 when she would be 5 years old. This day coudn't come fast enough for her. She was so excited. If only she knew that once she gets older she will no longer anxiously wait for her upcoming birthday to come around. We were so excited to make this a special birthday for her. We had a family party on her birthday and planned a friend party a week later. She wanted it to be a halloween party and to have a Cinderella Barbie cake to match her costume. It was a fun day for all of us. She had a lot of fun with family and friends.

Below are a few photos of Michelle growing up.

Vancouver, Canada

We had the greatest time on our trip to Vancouver, Canada with Roberts parents. While there we went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and treetop adventure. The bridge was so high off of the ground and was suspended so far that it was hard to walk across without it wiggling back and forth. It was a pretty cool place. We also took a ferry over to Victoria to see the Butchart Gardens. By far the highlight of our trip. That place was breathtaking! If there is anything on this earth that resembles the Garden of Eden even just a little bit it is the Butchart Gardens. WOW! So beautiful.

First day of Pre-K

Michelle started Pre-K today. She was thrilled. So happy to be starting school just like her friends were. She loved her teacher Mrs Eastman and was so happy to tell me that she gets to sit at the purple table in the Farm room.
