Just a gift that will make the person's day!!

Halloween 2008
Here are our Halloween pictures. Ashley put her costume together. Katy wanted me to make this dress so the day before I put it together it ended up ok considering I made it without a pattern. Sarah chose to be a darling hot pink witch. Noah and Jacob do not like dressing up these days so they wore a halloween shirt and we sprayed their hair red, boy was this messy! Mike had to bath Jacob and get all the red out while we went to the church party. Hannah did not dress up but her trick is that she is now standing up in her bed or playpen all by herself for short periods of time. Everyone had fun at the ward party and then Katy and Ashley went with their friends to a party on the 31st. Ashley, Sharin and I watched a scary movie later that night. Fun Times. I love being a mom!

Where does the time go????
Wow, it has been a long time since my last post and as usual a lot has happened. My sister Liz and her children Anna and Dylan came to visit for three weeks. In June Dad had a heart attack and since he is the one who takes care of Mom and the house, she came to help out. We all had such a great visit while they were here. It was great to see Mom so happy and she even came with us to the zoo, Fossil Rim, and the bookstore in Dallas. My sister and I had fun staying up late talking, running errands, taking the kids swimming, etc. Let just say even the simple day to day things are more fun when you are with your sister. I wish she lived closer!!!! The top picture of the giraffe is a special reminder for Liz. I was driving and she was in the passenger seat when I coaxed the giraffe into our van. Liz felt this was to close for comfort, but I am sure (in hindsight) she is glad for up close and personal meeting.

Aunt Rachie
I feel the only thing better than being a mom is being an aunt. I am blessed to be the aunt of nine nieces, 14 nephews, one great niece and two great nephews. Right now 15 of my nieces and nephews live outside of Texas so I don't get to see them as much as I would like. My oldest nephew Justin started calling me Aunt Rachie when he was little and the name stuck. He is 20 years old, on his mission, and he still calls me this. I have to admit I like the name and many of my nieces and nephews call me this too. My,sister Liz and her children Dylan and Anna were here last August and we had a great time! A few weeks ago my brother,Tim, and his wife Allison and their four children came to visit. I was able to hold little Ethan for the first time. he was born with a heart condition called HLHS and has had two open heart surgeries in the past year. I was able to spend allot of time with Spencer and Emily the year Tim was here going to Law school. So it was nice to get to see Spencer and Emily and how much they have grown. Emily had a girls night out over here with her cousins and I had fun watching and getting to know Ethan and Gavin when everyone went to Six Flags. Matt and Katrina had a great barbecue at there house and I again had so much fun playing with all of the nieces and nephews that were there. We had a water balloon fight, hit the baseball around and took turns giving the kids a ride on the four wheeler.
I wish we all lived closer! Family is such a wonderful blessing!!!
