Baby Blessings

Babies are blessings in our lives and they are given a blessing by their father after they are born.  Blessings in so many ways.  James Mark Keller was blessed on Sunday, July 1, 2012.

What a cutie he is!

June Jam and Projects

June brings berries and I love to make freezer jam for my family.  I remember helping my mother and grandmother make jam as a teenager and love to carry on many of the traditions they taught me.

Strawberry Rhubarb is my favorite and a close second is red raspberry.  It was my first time canning chicken, it was easy and is so delicious in salads, casseroles or soup.

My favorite project of the month besides gutters, windows, trimming trees, hauling to the dump, fixing the hot tub, the refridgerator,
and endless yard work are the new shelves that Rick put up for me in the garage.  Now I can have so many more things organized and up the food storage to a new level.  Love Love Love Them!

My Babies

Our neighbor who is very tall found a birds nest in my hanging fuschia plant on the front porch. It had 4 tiny speckled eggs in it and a loving mother bird carefully sitting and tending the eggs.

Three eggs hatched and they have gotton so fat this past week, mommy bird must be busy finding food to feed these hungry little babies.

June Happenings Just Kept Happening

June was filled with birthdays and baptisms.  Gabbriella and Isabella turned 8 and Travis turned 24, can you believe our youngest child is 24, how did he get so old and I stayed so young.  It's a mystery to me.

On Sunday June 24th Gabbriella and Jackson were baptised, how special for cousins to share this memorable day.
Isabella was baptized the next Saturday on
June 30th, here the two princesses pose in
their matching dresses that Rebecca made for them.

Downtown Seattle is Interesting

Dad had a conference and was in class everyday so I spent the days people watching, shopping, and walking the blocks of downtown Seattle.  There were street musicians, double decker busses, police on horses and bikes, fun shops to browse, Starbucks on every corner, street researchers who want your time to sign forms or listen to them or take their flyers.  It is always good to walk with eyes forward and not make eye contact.

One of my favorite places to wander is Pike Place Market with the fresh fruit and vegitable stands, all kinds of hand made items, fish and I love the flowere stands.

The grassless park in downtown, while I was sitting on a bench next to a naked statue I noticed that all of the tree trunks were painted blue.  I almost felt like I was in Avatar.

We had fun on a dinner cruise, the food was great, the band played and the view of Seattle from the water was a sight we had never seem before.  Fun Fun
