Apply Appliances

Our appliances have been installed (in their raw form) in the kitchen.  Not much to look at without the cabinet fronts.  To the left is one of the two dishwashers in the kitchen.  Also shown are the sub-zero side-by-side refrigerator with lower freezers drawers.

This stack is a microwave on top of a convection oven, with a warming drawer (lacking the drawer front) on the bottom.

We have decided to go with a wolf six-burner range with a grittle.  When the full family is here we will have a great time cooking!

Trimming Down

With all the doors on the lower two floors hung, I am trimming out the doors and windows in our choosen casing design.  The picture above is the breakfast room.  The paper and tape is from the painters who keep everthing protected.

This shot is of the master bedroom doors leading onto the deck.  The bathroom is through the doors to the right.

Still in the master bedroom, this shows two of the three windows in the bay.

Back to the Kitchen

This cabinet back defines the transition between the great room and the kitchen.

The cabinet installers had a lot of fun integrating the cabinets with the beams as can been seen in this picture of the hood.

Behind the island on the right is a cabinet for a stack of appliances (warming drawer, convection oven and microwave). Our refrigerators will go in the cabinet to the left with a bake center in between.
Although still lacking molding, this area will display dishes with the main sink and dishwasher area being to the rights.

Laundry Room Cabinets

The cabinets are almost complete in the laundry room. This picture shows Karen's sewing and wrapping area.

The washer and dryer will be placed under a wood shelf (not yet installed) at the back of the room. The area to the right is for a large farm sink (good place to bath puppies).

A Solid Footing

The stone masons have returned to our job site to lay quartzite floors in the entry, hall and study.

This view is from the dining room looking toward the study.

The painters have been doing a lot of masking. This picture of the study shows the transition from the floor to the stone wall.
