I saw this on Magnolia Sun's blog so I decided to do it, too.
40 things about me
1. I am so glad to be going to church again. I love the Lord and it is amazing how much better I feel now that my relationship with Him is on track. He is so patient with all of us.
2. I like going to Bible study. I'm learning so much that I didn't retain from my younger days.
3. I enjoy reading books fiction or nonfiction but not horror or science fiction.
4. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. I can just stand outside and breathe that in until I can't smell it anymore.
5. I like being alone but not lonely.
6. I will pay a lot of money for good food.
7. I don't like to pay a lot of money for shoes.
8. I wear sandals and flip-flops all year and don't like to wear regular shoes.
9. I love opera and I love opera music.
10. I don't like to read the English subtitles during the opera production.
11. I like to lay in bed with my eyes closed and listen to opera music.
12. I love to listen to Christmas music or any music when I'm cooking or cleaning.
13. I love to go new places...even if it's just down a road I've never been down before.
14. I have always liked to stay up late and sleep late.
15. I spend too much money on whatever hobby I have at the moment.
16. I think I would like to work in a bakery or candy company.
17. I have a recurring dream about an old scary house.
18. Aunt Sue and I had an annual trip to New Orleans every December but have not gone since before Hurricane Katrina.
19. I bought a mink/fox coat as a graduation present to myself years ago. It is beautiful...but it's the worst money I ever spent... I never wear it...it's not cold enough. I was all caught up in the beauty of it.
20. I fell down in San Francisco a few years ago and broke my foot. Had to take a taxi to the hospital.
21. If I had ever had a girl I would have named her Holly Elizabeth or Eleanor after my grandmother. If I ever had a boy he would be named Scott but don't know what other name.
22. In fifth grade I was such an ugly duckling that nobody liked me. They all made fun of me. I'm not kidding. That was a hard year.
23. I have a cell phone but only turn it on in the car.
24. While visiting my grandparents house in Atlanta while growing up, they had a big bookcase with lots of books. I got a piece of paper and wrote things on it and dated it every time we were there. It was the same piece of paper year after year. Might have been "I love so-in-so" whoever I was in love with at them moment. It was in that book and no telling where that book is now. I can't remember the name of the book. I wonder if anyone has found it yet? Grandparents had an estate sale when they went into a retirement home and those books went in different directions.
25. I have gotten to where I only buy Coach purses. I can't find any other purse that I like as much.
26. I still have Chichi and Tiny and Baxterman's ashes in my dining room. We have not been able to bring ourselves to bury them.
27. I would not be able to have human ashes sitting around like that.
28. I have gotten to where I crave a chemical smell...like cleaning fluids or markers. But I have to not go there.
29. I love to look at glass beads. I wish I could make them.
30. I'll probably have a hysterectomy at some point soon.
31. My handwriting is t-e-r-r-i-b-l-e.
32. I really like the people that I do work for.
33. I wear Jo Malone Pomegranate Noir fragrance.
34. I have a bad habit of subscribing to lots of magazines but I've got it down to about five now.
35. I love sweets and sugar and it shows. I have got to do something about it or I'm going to have major major problems.
36. I do not like attention on me. I won't get up in public to talk or anything like that.
37. I don't know what I would have done all these years without the pugs.
38. I think I will always have pugs, two, three or four at one time.
39. I want a cat, too.
40. I need to get out of the house more often.
This was hard and sort of lame....sorry about that.

You did way more than my 25. I do like reading these. Whatever happened to that mink? That was a really long time ago.
this was not lame at all! I learned so much about you!
Your craving of chemical smells made me smile as I remembered when I was pregnant and craved cleaner smells. :)
You know, it sounds very odd and creepy now, but I kept my mother's ashes in my apartment in college for about 8 months or so until I took them (the ashes) to Italy and dispersed them. I dont think I found it weird at the time to be living with her ashes.
If you have to have a hysterectomy, I hope that the recovery isnt as difficult as c-section recovery.
I want to do another one of these list thingies, but I am fearful I would repeat something I have already listed a long time ago. I have a horrid memory, and no time to go back and search for all the posts where I listed things about myself like this.
That wasn't lame! I learned so much that I didn't know!!
It wasn't lame at all! It was very insightful - well done!
I loved reading that! I am the same as #3...I will never read a horror or scifi book. Or watch any of those movies. It's too scary to me!
If you ever want to borrow Boo Kitty, feel free! ;) It's so funny because he hisses at any other dog breed, but loves pugs. I guess because he's been around them since he was a kitten.
Winston and Sela send pug kisses!
I loved reading your list. I'm with you on #15. I spend a bunch of money on a craft I'm really in to as well. My problem is that I eventually get burned out and then I have a bunch of supplies stashed away.
Did you say cat? ;)
I don't know how I did it, but I missed this one. Very interesting and cool stuff to know. I do wonder who ended up with that list you stashed in that book. Bet that was an interesting read!
