This is a book that I think I saw on Pam's book reviews one time. I enjoyed it. It's about three sisters whose relationships are falling apart and coming together. It's a quick read.
This book City of Falling Angels is authored by the author of The Garden of Good and Evil. It's a story about his travel and stay in Venice, Italy. It was a so nice to read about the people and places and homes over there. Interesting to hear about the Americans who live there, too. If you think you'd like to see Venice one day, this is a nice, quick book to read to get a little idea of the homes and sights over there.
I did the floors cleaned yesterday and bathrooms cleaned and kitchen cleaned. I didn't get any dusting done! It's amazing how the vacuum canister fills up so fast with pug hair!
Poor little chichi fell in the pool on Sunday but I was out there and grabbed her out real quick. She just had a misstep and went in. So scary. I never leave them out there unattended. Our living room has one step that you step down into and the husband said last night that Chichi just was walking and fell off that step, never saw it or remembered it was there. She is really about blind now. She is really happy when I hold her, especially at night. She just will lay there and go to sleep while I'm holding her. I can't imagine what it's like not to be able to see. I guess it's pretty scary and it must feel good when someone is hold you.

i think i read that first book...i'm so bad about remembering what i've read! the second books sounds good - i like books like that...i'm going to add it to my 'to read' list. poor chichi! i think she needs some water wings for poolside. we had a dog once who lost her sight but she eventually got use to it and stopped bumping into things.
I read that book too, K you did read the book and you reviewed! I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets. I enjoyed it too.
Oh Chichi! I'm glad that she got snagged from the pool right away, that would be scary. Get held by the ones you love is the best - thank goodness for pugs!
Poor Chichi! Lucky her mama keeps an eye out for her! Maybe you should get a little bell for her so you know where she is!
I don't think I ever read that first book, although it does sound good. I have that other book though, although it is stuck way down at the bottom of my book pile. Good the hear that it's a good one. So little time, too much to read! ;)
Poor Chichi, I know it must feel really comforting to her to have you hold her.
Sorry to hear about Chichi, poor girl. My friend's cocker spaniel lost it's eyesight due to diabetes but she figured out how to get around ok. Hopefully Chichi will too. Keep up the snuggles!

Thank you all for the good thoughts for Chichi....she just seems so pitiful now. But she doesn't cry. If she can't see, she just lays down where she is...last night I found her in the middle of the hallway right by herself. Never seen her lay down there before.
Poor dear Chichi...I cannot imagine being blind either...It would be almost more than I could bear, I feel...How sweet that she is so content when you hold her at night. It must feel soooo very safe for her....!

Glad you were there to save Chichi! My parents have a boston terrier who is pretty much blind. Poor thing stands in front of the wall for hours thinking its the door. But boy he can smell dinner on the table!

Both of those books sound good, could I borrow them? If you have not promised them to someone else could you bring them the next time you come this way? I hope little ChiChi feels better tonight, she seemed to be a little sore today from her fall last night. She is such a sweetie and we love them all so much. We had a good time today with you and Sue.
Lisa, I know what you mean...they can sure smell where the food is coming from even if they can't see a bit.
mama, I enjoyed today too. Aunt Sue is reading the This Side of Married and I can give you the other one and then Aunt Sue can get the other one to you when she finishes.
Poor Miss Chichi. She is so lucky to have a Pug Mama like you to take care of her!
