Scenes from downtown P'cola marina
This is downtown P'Cola at the marina on South Palafox Street. Many years ago I had an office in that building that is all glass and the marina went all the up to the back of it. I would sit at my desk on Friday afternoons and watch the boaters leaving all during the day for their fun in the sun weekends. When the bridge was hit by a barge in 1989, we could not drive across it for a week or two and we would take boats like this from where we lived to this marina and I could walk to work.

So pretty. Must be so nice to be so close to the ocean. Can you smell the Salt in the air there? I know when we get close to the cost we can smell the salty air...

Hey MK...glad you stopped by! I was lucky to work with the people that I worked with there in that building. We were all about the same age and we were more like friends than bosses and workers. There were four of us, the two owners and me and another girl. The rent was high so they eventually moved out of that building after about three years. Fun times!
Lisa, you can smell the salt air here. You can also hear the waves crashing at the beach if it's a really stormy or windy day...all the way to my house! We are not far mileage-wise from the ocean. And our area where we live is surrounded by water...we just do not live on waterfront land but it's two blocks from us. My sister and I are like the same person almost! We think alike and talk alike and sort of look alike a little bit. She is nicer than me, though!
Hey coco...I know I'm lucky to live close to the ocean...I remember before I lived here and we'd come here on vacation I would never want to leave. Whenever I drive over the bridge to downtown, I think about how pretty it is and how casual things are here...flip-flops and shorts, ponytails and no makeup if you dare! THanks for the compliment of Aunty Sue. I'll tell her. She doesn't always like that I put her picture up but I pick ones that she looks good in...not the ones where she looks crazy!

Everybody she and her sister talk exactly alike, one time I was having a conversation with sister and thought it was her and we've know each other forever.

Duke and Gidget, it's going to be in the 70's this weekend here...can you send some cold down here so that we can have a bit of winter?
