Well, my sister Chichi got the worst in a fight that happend two weeks ago. Mama had been out one evening and when she came home, we all were so happy to get her attention that we tried to beat up on each other. No one really knows which one of us started it or who poked Chichi in the eye. She had to go to the Animal Eye Center of Destin over in Destin, Florida. Dr. Carter is so good to Chichi. He did a surgery on her eye and she has had to follow-ups and he is please with her progress.
She has to wear that cone thing on her head. She doesn't like it but mama makes her do it. Mama and daddy put drops in her eye all the time. It was scary to think she might lose her eye but hopefully she will be able to see all right when she is healed. We are all so glad there is a doctor in our area that can fix our eyes. Mama said there were lots of dogs and cats there having their eyes done, too.
I would like to ride in the car sometime but not to go to the vet. Aunt Sue has been riding to Destin with mama to take Chichi. I know that Chichi must be riding in Aunt Sue's lap and Aunt Sue is scratching her neck since she has to wear the cone and can't scratch her own neck.
Mama got us some new Christmas collars in the mail today. She made us go outside to get pictures of us. She will post some here for you to see. Chichi was sleeping so she did not get her picture made in a Christmas collar. But mama will let you see a picture of Chichi with her cone on her head. Mama calls her "Coney" when she has her cone on. She has to lift Chichi up on the bed and couch because she can't jump up with the cone on. I'm so glad it's not me wearing a cone. It's hard to get a drink of water and eat. Mama has to clean it three times a day because it gets puggy snorting stuff on it quite often.
Mama likes to look at the
Alabama Pug Rescue website to see the sweet pugs that they are taking care of and mama dreams of getting one to help one day. She can't get another one of us anytime soon. Mama is thinking of becoming a foster parent. But that will be a long time from now. We take up a lot of time and vet money. And daddy says that's why he works, to pay our vet bills.
I hope to send you another story soon.
