Lost weight

I did the military diet which was 3 days. I lost a total of 5lbs on it! Super proud of myself. I also went bk to EMZ & I really love it, it helps me release lots of toxins I feel my limbs getting more fluidity & I can just stretch & be more agile. I'm loving the healthier me. Don't get me wrong I have a sweet tooth for sure, but nothing like before. I can eat 1 treat & be satisfied. I enjoy that exercise ALONE time too, it just is life for me right now haha! I'll take progress pics in 2 weeks. :)

Set back for a Come back!

Sooooo when I last posted we had even after event after event & we totally fell off the healthy train! But I decided...which by the way this happens to me alllll the time. I seriously have to ponder & mentally prep myself. Once I study & go out & buy healthy then start exercising. Have a paper all planned out of my meals, shopping lists etc. I feel in total control. So I'm happy to say I HAVE STARTED again!!! That's what is great about the word again! Lol. I beat myself down & now it's time to start a new AGAIN! :) here's my before pics. Bracing myself!!! These pixs are NOT cute!

We started

Back 2 eating healthy. I called Pulu last Thursday complaining about my weight & that I needed his help in eating healthy together. It's hard to do it alone, & I was so happy he was on board with doing it...even tho he's always been skinny & can literally eat whatever he wants & gain maybe 5-10lbs a year! Ugghh he bugs! lol. But he's also very active & has always kept up with sports, & what not. So we started yesterday with eating healthy. It was definitely hard & a rude awakening. I didn't completely eat healthy all day, but I did for the most part. Today is a new day & new goals. Every single day I have to make the choice to eat better. Definitely a struggle, I've done it before & I know I can do it again. Before I was counting calories & it seemed to work well for me. I would lose 10 lbs a month. But this time around Pulu & I are going to try counting our macros. (Protein intake, Fat intake, carbs intake) we haven't done too much research on it, but we are going to be doing that today. Pulu also has a friend who's part of Team Fleks that has done the counting macros who will explain more about it. So I'm glad we will be learning something new. It's pretty cool cause team Fleks calls it "Flexible Dieting" I look at his posts & he thoroughly enjoys a snicker or two a day! I'm like shut the front door. When I lose weight, I never get to eat candy period if I do it's like cinnamon bear, or licorice,or something that has 0 calories lol! But yeah snickers is my FAVVVORITE candy bar. I could eat a king size everyday! But yeah so when I seen his posts & his frame which is toned & cut. I was like hmmmm I really need to look into this. So that's why we are. But for now until we get the hang of counting macros we are doing what we did before. Salads, eggs, whole wheats, water only, fish, lean meats, fruits & veggies. I'm excited to eat healthier. I always feel good. My problem is leaving the house & making sure I am prepped with snax & whatever for the kids so that I don't go thru a drive thru. This weight loss process is long, it's a process that is not for the weak. It's MIND over MATTER & takes a lot of will power. I hope I can withstand the temptations out there & be successful in our journey to a healthy lifestyle. I CAN DO HARD THINGS!
I'll post our before pics soon

Update 2015

IIt's been too long. I need to update the last 4 months. Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Anniversary, Valentine's Day, Girls trip to Hawaii...wow lots of special holidays & dates! Let's just say they were all great! Lol. I'll post pics to make up for lost times. Life right now: we are STILL living in the tiniest apartment ever for 6 ppl! It's getting so claustrophobic but there is a light @ the end of the tunnel. Pulu & I have goals we are working towards. His credit score has been a work in progress we are excited to see it sky rocket from the low 600's to the high 700's maybe even 800. House hunting will resume May. He gets 2 raises. 1 in April, & another in May. So things are looking up for us. We are ready for summer not because of weather, cause honestly we haven't really had a winter (it was great) lol. But we are totally ready to be home owners. We are also ready for another vehicle all in due time, Pulu reminds me. He's really patient & I appreciate him for that. Church life: my new calling is RS 4th Sunday teacher. It's been 2 Sunday's & I really struggle doing this calling. It's hard to stand up there & not feel judged by each woman sitting there staring at u. But at the same time it helps me in my preparation to read my scriptures. I know I need this calling for me. If any of the women take something from my lessons, even if just 1, I'm happy because some callings I feel like are rely for others, then there's callings like mine where I know it's for my own spiritual growth. I'm not as spiritually in tune as I'd like to be but I'm hoping in time I will be. Health Life: my health has come to an all time low! I'm seriously a yoyo & go up & down. I hv no excuse, not even giving birth because I stayed really active & healthy during pregnancy, it was after birth that I ate everything in sight. I hv a plan & I hv to start with my eating Cuz it's out of control. Thankfully I have a good hubby to motivate & join me in this endeavor again! He's the best when it comes to partnership & motivation to succeed! Qpon Life: I'm contemplating on giving it up completely. Only because it's a lot of work & I read an article that I kind of agree with so I might just organize my meals & family life and utilize my time more wisely. So in a nutshell I'm in a growing stage. Hopefully I Bloom into a butterfly!

No for real...This is my every day: 5am feed bby, 6am Pulu is up getting ready. 6:30am Ariana is up. 6:55am Jay is up. I drop off Jay & Pulu. Come home. Ariana barely leaves to bus stop. I get 10 mins to eat, lay my head down then Bella wakes up. Feed her, then wake up Selini for school..get her ready. Then Baby wakes up to eat (of course when I hv to run Selini to school) load em all in the ride...for a 3 min drive to Selinis school. Drop her off. Come back & pure hell til about 2pm..they both nap then I hv to pick up Pulu or Selini around 2:55. Haul kids again...then come home & hell begins again with Selini & Bella. Jay comes home around 3:30. Then I feed baby, clean clean & cook. Then pick up Nana at 6:30 from bball practice. Come home we eat, I run and do ALLL errands, thennnn I come home fold laundry, yell at kids to do chores, get homework done, read scriptures, say prayer. The 3 oldest sleep. Feed baby, watch tv & try to stay awake with Bella. Then I knock out around 10:30pm. Then my phn starts buzzing at 10:45pm. It's Pulu texting me to pick him up from work. Thennnn we come home & I knock out at 11:30pm. Bby wakes up at 2am then 5am rolls around & here we go again. #amItired #uhhhYeah 😳😴😩 #longestPostofMyLife lol!! #iNeedaMaid #iNeedaNanny but most importantly #iNeedMoneyfoDat lol

Parenting 101

I wish there was a class to take on parenting when I was younger or a 'how to book' on raising teenagers! Life as a teen is so dramatic & in your mind you honestly feel like things are so much more than they really are. I look back on my teenage years & think oh wow I really was overly dramatic! Thinking of some of the things me & my friends or classmates did, I'm like wow that was crazy, and teens can be so cruel & downright nuts! Anywho I am going thru a hard time with Ariana. I bet if I went back and read my previous entries I have NEVER uttered these words "I'm having a hard time with Ariana" because Nana is our "Goody Goody" our Never does anything wrong" "4.0 student", "reads her scriptures daily" type child. But everyone has weaknesses, unfortunately Ariana inherited mine...boys! My son had told me a few weeks ago that there was a pic he seen on Ariana's phn of her & a boy kissing. I confronted her about it & gave her several opportunities to tell me the truth. She adimately said over n over it was her friend, not her & that Jay's lying just trying to get her in trouble. Then my sil said her hubby's cousin who goes to Highland sees Ariana always walking with a boy holding hands at school. So Pulu & I confronted her about that & in the pit of my belly I knew she was being dishonest. It hurt me to feel that. So I looked her in her eyes & said if I find out you lied to me. I will tear your life apart Ariana & you know I will! I will investigate like no other & randomly come up to your school. If you give me a reason NOT to trust you that's what I'll do, so I'm a ask you one LAST time if you want to change what you just said...now's the time. She put her head down in Shame & said yes...I said yes what? She said yes I was walking holding hands & yes it was me in the picture. ((Shock)) ((Gasp)) ((Sadness)) ((Disappointment)) ((Anger)) Pulu was immediately pissed off to the high heavens he couldn't even be in the room with us. I felt really bad for Pulu. The disappointment he felt. Pulu really thought Ariana could do no wrong.
It's hard to parent. But I talked to her about dating before 16 & kissing & holding hands is ok WHEN you are of age. Going out/steady is NOT ok dating lots of people is ok. She knows all these things, but as a parent I knew that Pulu & I needed to work on lots of things. Like showing her more love so that she doesn't feel like she needs to find that affection & love elsewhere, FHE, scripture study, and Pulu & I need weekly temple dates to ensure our kids never falter from the church. These things are so important & without it I could not parent the way I know my Heavenly Father would have me. And then I knew that the parenting 101 book that I wish we had...we do it's the scriptures. I know we can find all answers to any question in there. Hard hard lesson to learn, but we aren't perfect...The Lord knows when we need change & this is our bump in the road. He never said it would be easy, only worth it. Ariana is definitely worth changing things for. I hope n pray we can help her in the things she stands in need of as her parents & that we can come closer as a family. I know that through Christ all things are possible. (:
Update: Ariana and I talked last night Oct 21 about how things were. She told me she broke up with her boyfriend Nick & that when she went to do baptisms for the dead with her YW this past Sat. she felt like it was the right thing to do because I told her it was her choice to break up with him. That me & her dad can only teach her the right way...but she has free agency to chose for herself. I'm seriously overjoyed that she told me that she did the right thing. I wanted to cry...but I just listened to her talk & tell me how she felt. We had a good talk, I'm grateful she's opening up to me. My hope is for her to know her worth & to save that worth for someone worth it. Ohhhhh teenagers!! 😬

Spiritual Growth

I look forward to General Conference every 6 months! It's a great time to be reminded of things we need to work on. It's a beautiful time to hear from the leaders of the church who are inspired by God to enlighten us members. This year was no different I was up making breakfast & getting ready to hear the words of our prophets. This year I didn't take notes. First year actually...what a mistake! I'm upset that I thought I'd remember everything. My kids watched conference with my parents and to my surprise they really watched & listened to the talks! They came home & shared their fave speakers. It was awesome! Seriously was an A+ parenting moment! Lol. My favorite talk was Carlos Godoy of the Q70. His talk really hit me like a ton of bricks! He spoke about patriarchal blessings. And what The Lord expects us to do & become. His will not ours. The reason why I loved his talk was because this topic has been a long debate, argument, disagreement between my husband and I. So I'm sooo grateful for his wise words saying everything I've always felt. It was amazing! I hope when the ensign comes out that my hubby can really study Godoys talk because I felt like it was meant for him. Another talk was Richard G Scott! He spoke about 4 things we need to do. 1- family prayer. 2- Family Home Evening 3- Scripture Study 4- Regularly going to the Temple. Simple & we hear it a lot. But it's needed! I loved it! We are working on it & I'm always grateful & edified after conference. (:
