KATAXNIA is a punk / crust band from Thessaloniki, Greece. Κρεσέντο Απελπισίας (Crescendo Of Despair) is their third album and personally I was surprised that I didn't knew this band in my own city! Okay crust is not one of my favorite genres, but this album is definitely one of the best I've heard! Great production, great melodies and vocals! Don't let the language barrier keep you from listening to this, it's a real gem!

Morrow are a violin and cello driven atmospheric crust band, in the vein of Ictus, Fall of Efrafa and Remains of the day. They began their post civilisation odyssey in 2016’s “Covenant of Teeth” the somber string laden D beat, seated in the forests and ice scapes of future primitive cultures. “Fallow” picks up where their debut ended; following the same protagonists as they leave the safety of the forests in search of knowledge amongst the sweltering, vibrant and violent carcass cities in the desert south. It is a far more raucous record; a pandemonium of drums and throaty cello as our characters face a chaotic, terrifying and majestic landscape, one of bared teeth amongst the sand storms and screaming voices. Fallow features guest vocals from members of Gattaca, Monachus, Autarch, Wildspeaker, Hyena, Sol and Fall of Efrafa.

Franco-belgian squad Necrodancer doesn't waste time with warning shots and directly introduce themselves to the world with "Void", their debut album. Formed in 2016 between Paris and Liège by members hailing from various corners of the heavy music realm (Verdun, Daggers, Death Mercedes, Radio Maquis…) the band establishes with "Void" an already personal, hard-to pin sound. Drawing as much from swampy noise rock as from the punkier edge of later-era Darkthrone, these self-proclaimed funeral grungers are as comfortable with surprisingly catchy melodic hooks as with remorseless crust assaults. Recorded and mixed by Amaury Sauvé (Birds In Row, Plebeian Grandstand, Death Engine) then mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Okkultokrati, Nails, Full Of Hell) for maximum damages, Necrodancer's firepower will be hard to ignore.

Alex CF (Fall Of Efrafa, Light Bearer) and some friends have a side project called Anopheli, playing emo crust in the vein of Madame Germen and Remains Of The Day.

Anopheli was a little project created between friends living in different countries. Jasmine, Brian and Josh all live in California and Alex lives in London. It started off as a lovely idea of immortalizing a friendship with a musical project. So they challenged theirselves, to see if they could write and record a demo in two weeks. 

They managed to write the songs, but ran out of time to record. Alex came back a few months later and after a handful of practices they managed to record this record with their friend Jack Shirley in an afternoon and evening (and then many subsequent weeks of mixing).They were joined by the extremely talented honorary members Nicole, who plays cello, and Richard, who played acoustic guitar. They had such fun creating this record that they decided to continue as a band, and create music as often as they can.  

Anopheli is taken from the word Anopheles, the greek scientific term for Mosquito, which means "good for nothing." Their first record is called "A Hunger Rarely Sated."

Formed in 2011 in Lorient, western France, Direwolves rapidly stood out from the pack by combining both the melodic and the heavy aspects of punk hardcore. Their first full-length «Aegri Somnia» not only follows the path of their EP «Me From Myself, To Banish» (2012) but also enhances the spectrum of their sound, browsing through a large range of sub-genres while avoiding their respective clichés. Songs such as "Holy Treason" or "Face The Facts" show the band at their most vehement, colliding unstoppable drumming with heavily metallic-influenced riffs while the end of the record explores more emotionally-charged post-metallic soundscapes.
