I've been trying to get Ivy more involved in the kitchen- having her bake and cook.  I apologize for the messy pictures- we were just having fun!

St. Patrick's Day

For St. Patrick's day this year, I had heard of some schools having "Lucky" the Leprechaun come and visit the classroom.  Lucky messes up the room because he has lost his hat.  The children help him find it- and it's this cool thing.  I decided to do the same for Ivy!

Moving...

Yep... that's right.

It all started yesterday. I was browsing through Target with the kiddos who were being decently well behaved. I received a phone call from Phil and we chatted. About five minutes into the conversation he tells me that he's got another call from our rental company. He lets me go with the promise to call back soon.

I go to browse the kid clothes when Phil called back. Our conversation went mostly like this...

Me: So what did Caravan want?
Phil: They need us out..
Me: Wha!??!!??! Our lease isn't up til July!
Phil: Yep- the owner needs the place back...
Me: So when?
Phil: End of March? Maybe April. As soon as we can leave.
Me: *shock* Uhhhhhh.... oooohkay.
Phil: I know... I'll be home soon
Me: disgust/shock/frustration/anger/disappointment
(puts back all items in shopping cart and leaves)

So anywho- we need to be out soon. We leave for Disney World the second week of April (:D) and I'd like to be moved by then. Phil's spring break is coming up soon.. so it'd be nice to get it done then... It's just all so weird and wacky. We were planning on renewing our lease come July- stay until July 2012 at least. I guess our plans don't actually meet up with life's plans. It'll be sad to leave this place- it's where we brought Dean home too, our first big home out of apartment living... it's been a good run.

(and would you believe this is the ONLY picture I could find of the front of our house? I guess we just don't take pictures of houses!)

Hair

Ivy loves to have long hair but she doesn't love to have her hair done. So the rare occasion I can do something fancy with it- I take pictures!

This was just a french braid around her head- she kept it in all day- and loved the "crown" on her head!

Dr. Seuss's Birthday

We LOVE Dr. Seuss. Phil had almost his entire collection of books before we were married- and we've loved reading them with the kiddos.

Last summer I found this book at the library and we had a lot of fun with it. Our favorite was "Pink Ink" from One fish, Two fish. It's basically a strawberry smoothie.


So when I noticed that today would be his birthday- we had to do a themed meal.

February Odds and Ends

Looking back at my February pics- there's a BUNCH of them- but no real thematic element- hence- odds and ends..

We had a great snowstorm- so we had to get the kiddos out. Dean started walking at the beginning of this month- so he was a little wobbly in the snow!

We finally made it to the temple! Hopefully we'll be able to go more this year.











For Presidents Day I came up with the genius idea to have the kids make a log cabin... with graham crackers. They were more interested in eating the peanut butter instead...
