Whimsy Stamps - NBUS Halloween

Hello there.  It's back to spooky season.  With so many NBUS (Never Before Used Stuff) Halloween products from Whimsy Stamps (WS), I used five of them to create an A6 size (4.5x6.25-inches) Halloween card today.  

Started by die cutting a moon mask from NoFuss Masking Sheets with a Pierced and Stitched Circle die (the rest of the WS products are all NBUS).  Adhered the mask onto an A6 size Bristol panel, then ink blended Enchanted Garden fresh dye inks with Black Soot distress ink (DI) for the night sky.  Removed mask and added crater details on the moon with C00/0/1/2/3 Copic Sketch markers. 

Next, stamped the bats from Bramble Wreath around the moon followed by stencilling of the Halloween Expressions face and the Halloween Trees and Grasses with dark gray dye ink and Black Soot DI, respectively.  Die cut the Jack o'Lantern Border from orange cardstock and ink blended Rusty Hing DI from the bottom up.  Used a black Polycromos pencil to lightly add definition to them.  Backed the faces with yellow cardstock for a glow effect.  Finally, die cut the Happy Halloween sentiment from black and white cardstock to offset.  Assembled the card onto a white A6 card base to finish.

Simon Says Stamp - Birthday Streamers

Hello there. I have one more card to share today for STAMPtember 2026 from Simon Says Stamp (SSS).  I used the Background Streamers stencil set and the Birthday Tiles embossing folder (EF) to create a simple masculine birthday card.

The two lightest colours in the Glacier Caves and Frosted Foliage ink collections from Altenew were ink blended over the streamers stencil layers on an A2 size Bristol panel.  For confetti, added blue splatters.  

For the sentiment, a scrap of Bristol paper was selectively embossed with the EF.  Next, dragged the darker blue mini ink pad (direct-to-paper) over the raised areas to colour it.  Fussy cut it out then mounted it onto the streamers panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension to finish.

Simon Says Stamp - STAMPtember Party 2026!

Hello there. I'm joining Simon Says Stamp (SSS) today for their massive STAMPtember Party over on their blog. 😉 

For today's party, I created a simple rainbow friendship card usung the Flying Butterfly Collage dies, Embossed Card Edges dies and Forest Forage in Fall stamp (sentiment). 

Started by trimming two A2 size panels from Bristol paper.  Took one and die cut the butterfly and curved edge from it.  On the other panel, ink blended distress inks in rainbow colours.  For some subtle texture, splattered it with water and blot with a paper towel. 

The butterfly bodies were die cut from silver foil paper.  The sentiment was heat embossed on black cardstock using white embossing powder.  Adhered the panels together with foam tape for a bit of dimension then mounted it onto a white card base to finish.

Simon Says Stamp - STAMPtember 2026

Hello everyone.  It's September 1st, which means the 17th annual STAMPtember at Simon Says Stamp (SSS) is live!  This month long celebration is dedicated to all things we love about paper crafting.  Please click on the image below to see the entire SSS release.

For today, I have a Halloween card to share featuring the Haunted Garden stamp set.  I don't have it, but there is a coordinating die set.

Started by stamping the pumpkin image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on an X-Press It panel then masked it.  A Memento Tuxedo Black marker was then used to ink up just the ghost with flower before stamping in top.  Finally stamped the bat, then coloured the images with Copic Sketch markers. 

Copic markers used:

pumpkin - Y21,YR23;/24/27, E08, YG63/67 

flowers - Y11/15, YR16, R05 

leaves - BG90/93 

ghost - W00/1/3, R20 

bat - C00/1/3/6 

Decided to tone down the spookiness and drew a smile on the ghost. 😂   The sentiment was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink and heat embossed with clear embossing powder.  Placed a watercolor stencil (retired) around scene and lightly ink blended Memento Toffee Crunch ink for the background.  Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

Whimsy Stamps - Punny Birthday

Hello there.  Today is my nephew, Liam's, 11th birthday.  Hard to believe it's been 6 years since this video.  So in keeping with the same vibe as the card in that video, I decided to stretch the Sheets and Giggles stamp set from Whimsy Stamps (WS) beyond halloween and created him a punny slimline (SL) size (3.5"x8.5") birthday card.  This was so fun and I'm glad he liked it.  He actually recorded another video of him opening today's card, but for some unknown reason, I'm no longer able to upload videos to my blog. 🤔 

Black cardstock was trimmed to SL size.  The SL Film Strip die and the Spellbinders compact cutting plate were then used to partial die cut the film strip frame to SL size from its original 3.25"x8.25".  

Trimmed a SL panel from Bristol paper next and masked off the two sides with painter's tape.  Place the film strip frame over the panel to use as a guide and stamp the ghost images with Memento London Fog ink.  Went back and inked up their eyes with a Memento Tuxedo Black marker and re-stamped.   Ink blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn and Black Soot distress inks around them then splattered with water and blot with a paper towel for some texture. 

Green glow shading was added to the ghosts with YG01 Copic Sketch marker.  Stamped the sentiments (top frame from Monster Daze & bottom frame from Simple Sentiment Strips) with VersaMark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Assemble the card onto a SL card base to finish.
