First Day of School

Since I left off at the “Last Day of School”, I figured that I would pick back up at the “First Day of School”!  Plus, I’m getting harassed by family members for neglecting the blog! 

They were super excited!  Last year I started planning for preschool WEEKS in advance.  This year…..literally the night before!  What a difference a year makes!

This year they will go 3 days a week, Tuesday through Thursday.  They have great teachers and I think we are all going to love it!

Last Day of School

 

Thursday was the last day of the first year of preschool!  I guess summer break is officially here!  The kids loved their class and will really miss it! 

Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Jodi’s class…..

They sang in a cute end of year program and then each received a promotion certificate.

And then had a pizza and cupcake party!

 

Bring on the summer!  Happy Memorial Day!

 

P.S.  This post is for my brother Rob who said he still checks my blog every day, even though I NEVER post anything anymore.   It made me feel a little sorry for him, so I decided to try to catch up! 

Pictures

 

We had family pictures taken this morning at The Heritage Museum in Frisco, right next to Babe’s Chicken.  This place is awesome!  We didn’t even go inside the museum, but just looked around outside at the old buildings and trains.  I’ve heard LOTS of good things about Babe’s, so we had to try it out too.

Caught in action…..concentrating on walking.  This just might be the week he decides to walk full time.  He CAN walk, but most of the time he chooses not too.  He walked about 25 feet as I was taking these pictures.

 

The kids were exhausted after lunch, but we plan to go back another time to see the inside of the museum!

Little Ballerina

 

The morning before the monster truck show, Emery had her first dance class!  We needed some girlie girl stuff to offset all of the monster truck craziness! 

She was SOOOO excited!

Emery and her friend Presley.  They are in preschool together, so it worked out perfectly!  Presley showed Emery the ropes during the first class.  Too cute.

Her first recital is in May.  They are doing a tap routine to Hello Dolly!  We’ve had 2 classes so far and she is really loving it!

Monster Jam

 

Many months ago, Pete promised Gavin that if he would stop having accidents in his underwear, we would go see REAL monster trucks.  So finally, Monster Jam came to town and off we went!

It was our first time to Jerry World (aka: Cowboy Stadium).  When we pulled into the $25 parking lot, the attendant actually said “25 for Jerry”.  HA!  They don’t even try to hide how money hungry  he is (just my humble opinion). 

Nonetheless, the kids were so excited to see the HUGE building that the monster trucks would be in!

Starting our long walk to the stadium.  What?  You thought a $25 parking spot should be within a mile of the gate?  No such luck.

Finally made it!  I must admit, it is a pretty cool place.

Thanks to my mom for keeping Ethan, so that we could make this a “big kid outing”!  My Stepdad and his grandson, Chance, also came with us.   We love Monster Trucks!

All Business

If you’ve seen Ethan lately, you’ve probably noticed his baby mullet……..business in the front, party in the back.    Well, now he’s all business!  He got his first haircut last night during bath time.  I couldn’t bear to cut it before his first birthday because it always makes them look so grown up!
