Oh the ER

Well, our family made our second sojourn of Bella's short life to the Emergency Room tonight. I was lying on the couch this afternoon and Bella wanted to lay with me. I picked her up, but sort of had to drag her across my chest and her her arm make a little "pop". She screamed and cried for a good 30 minutes until my Mom came over to take a look at her. She wasn't moving her arm at all and it was swelling at the elbow. At this point, I was thinking "Oh my gosh, I broke my baby!". Mom recommended taking her to the ER where (shocking, I know) they were very efficient in getting her checked out and x-rayed. Turns out she had something called nurse-maid's elbow and it seemed to right itself while we were waiting for the x-ray results. She's totally fine, just a little tired from all the excitement. Yay for no broken bones or babies!

Just being Bella

I know it's a little bit choppy, but I just love catching her being herself! I wish I would have gotten her facial expression when she pulled off Bob's "arm". I think it is just amazing watching Bella and Bob play together. There's just nothing better!

Who needs toys?!?

Apparently the hundreds of dollars worth of toys we have purchased can be replaced (quite easily I might add) by a paper bag...sigh.

Pumpkin Pie!!!

My Mom made some absolutely delicious pumpkin pie for Bob's birthday. As you can see, Bella thoroughly enjoyed it! She even licked her lips!

Wiggly Awesome!

We were fortunate enough to score tickets to The Wiggles through Bob's office. Our neighbors were kind enough to loan us their little boy, Sawyer, for the night. It was so nice to have him along with us! We had tickets in the suite and as you can see, we all had a blast! It was too bad we couldn't bring a video recorder because Bella had some pretty rad dance moves that she was showing off!

Sawyer was a little nervous about attending, but on the way home told us that he had "Soooo much fun" and that the show was "Wiggly awesome"! I think that's about as good a review as you can get!

Laundry Time!

Bella has become a big helper with the laundry at home and at Grandma and Grandpa's house. When we were over helping Grandma last week, Bella decided to explore the dryer. I just had to snap these!

Puppies, Puppies Everywhere!

Our new neighbors to the east of us apparently had a surprise litter of puppies. They are lab/Rottweiler mixes and sooo cute. Unfortunately, the neighbors aren't keeping them contained in their backyard and they are escaping into our yard, the street, etc.

This morning Bella and I were out trying to barricade them in again and she uttered a new word: Puppy. It seems she was a bit overwhelmed by the 10 (yes you heard me right, 10) puppies surrounding her so she just kept pointing to puppy, puppy, puppy! It was very cute.

She wasn't so excited a few minutes later when one of the little rascals decided to munch on her waffle breakfast. She eventually gave up trying to keep it away from him, set it down on the ground and backed up verrrry slowly. It's a great mental picture I have. Wish I would have had the camera!

Happy Easter!

Easter Sunday was a great day. We had brunch with Grandma and Grandpa and did a mini egg hunt out in their courtyard. The Easter Bunny was especially good to Bella this year...he brought her 3 Easter baskets! Hope she doesn't get too used to it....
