April Love Letters...some more

    Dear Younger Me,

   Dear Imagination,

Thank you for visiting.  Thank you to Susannah Conway for this April project...I love it.  And now I can see that I needed it.  It found me at just the right time.  I love that.  My Word for this year is Spirit, so this is nourishing my soul.  Gratitude and Love.  Yes, gratitude and love...and love letters.  Ah

    Peace to you,

Memories and Cracks in the Pavement

Old memories that were locked in a drawer, slip out
    occasionally, surprising me.

I don't think I would change anything...it all led me
Here...but then again... Scary memories would
be a relief to have never happened.

It's important to live in the present. Now.
                   Love, k

Journeys

While the rest of my family members were out and about,
traveling here and there around this world,
I suppose I did what an introvert would naturally do.
    I traveled inward.  I read. I thought.
    I listened. I wrote.

    I've enjoyed my quiet time
And have learned a lot. I love to learn.

    Peaceful Sunday to you,
                 ~k

Beauty :: Journaling

I've been finding lately,
that I do not seem to be writing
and journaling as much as I used to.

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago,
I told you that a close friend passed away?

Well, just a few days ago, I stumbled
upon an old writing journal of mine...

...and in it was a four-page entry I had written
about the day I met her.
She was the mom of an old friend of mine.
I was so struck by her.
She was a second mom to me.
But, I was surprised, as I read these words I'd written years ago,
by how much I had forgotten.
The details.
My memory isn't as wonderful as I'd like,
but thank goodness I wrote...
and that I continue to write.

Everything happens for a reason.
I believe this.

I was meant to stumble upon these old four pages...
perhaps a message for Mother's day...
and as a reminder to me
to keep on writing.

Words.
Beauty.
memories.
Cherish.
Love.

Words.
Beauty.
Art.

Create.
Record.
Remember.
Feel.
